Gives an extra fancy touch to any roll out cookies (sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, etc). Only used it twice, but dough does get into the indentations and you need a brush or toothpick to get it out. This may become less of a problem once the wood gets seasoned from the oils in the dough. (Kind of like a wooden rolling pin). Nice craftmanship. Pretty design. Would buy again.

I love the delicate design of the Rose, I use a sturdy shortbreade recipe, it seemes to work better for the depth of the imprint. It's important to keep the rolling pin clean and not allow dough to fill in the design. The rolling pin is fairly easy to clean and the workmanship of the wood is impeckable. Love this rolling pin! It is smaller than a standard rolling pin, but unique and charming. Solid and sturdy craftsmanship. A lovely gift!
