My New Favorite Cook Book - the
This is the best cookbook I have seen for busy people (who isn't?) who like tasty food but can't spend a lot of time preparing it. I not only use this for my family--I am teaching a weekly cooking class for my grandchildren using this cookbook. They (all 15 of them in the classes) will probably be even busier when they grow up than we are. This book is so well organized. Main dish with vegetable suggestions and recipes both on the same page, plus suggestions for breads and dessert. The recipes give a nice variety of ways to cook common items (chicken, beef, pork, fish--vegetables--desserts) and even includes the grocery list to the right of each recipe. It also has a full color photo of every recipe. I like the fact that the entire meal, not just the main dish is included. I also like the "No-stress shopping list" If you keep this page of items on hand you can cook over 1/3 the recipes in the book. As if that weren't enough--the food is chosen to provide healthy, well balanced meals that taste delicious. A real winner!! (I am a Mom to 9 children--and a grandmother to 38 children)

Love this lifesaver cookbook!
I love this cookbook!! Everything I have made from it has pleased my family and impressed any company that drops by during the week. I'm never intimidated when I look at a recipe in this book, so I'm cooking a greater variety - fish, ham, lamb, etc. I appreciate that the recipes sometimes call for frozen ingredients because that's what I'd be doing when I'm in a hurry anyway, but it would be plain and boring - this book tells me how to make it tasty and special. But the recipes don't always rely on frozen ingredients. For example, I've finally learned how to cook fresh asparagus, because the book provides a simple recipe for doing that. Because I work long hours, I'd be microwaving or ordering takeout most nights if it were not for this cookbook. Now, our meals are healthier and a more satisfying, warm experience. I love that there is a picture for every recipe, and the best feature is that each main dish recipe gives you a full menu, suggesting what to serve with the main dish to make a well-coordinated, nutritious and complete meal.

This cookbook delivers exactly as promised!
I am a full time working mom with an 80 mile round trip commute and have been searching for a healthy cookbook with recipes using few ingredients and that can made quickly. Many of the cookbooks I've looked at only have 5-10 ingredients, but many of those ingredients I found to be pretty obscure and hard to find. This cookbook is exactly what I've been searching for...great recipes that have healthy, easy to find ingredients and that take very little time to prepare and cook. There are nice pictures of the recipes and even a section up front with a list of ingredients to keep on hand so you can pull together meals quickly. Some of the recipes even include a simple, healthy dessert that compliments the meal. My husband and I have tried about 5 of the recipes so far and we (and our 21 month old son) have liked them all! I highly recommend this cookbook for busy parents or those that do not have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen, but that want quick, healthy meals.

Best Simple Cookbook
This is one of my favorite cookbooks. I have purchased it for many of my friends. The meals are simple and delicious.

Wonderful Family Meals in Minutes!!!!!
I loved this cookbook!!! I have tried 8 recipes so far and it was the best thing I have ever purchased! I lost 6 pounds in one week just eating recipes from this book. The foods are great, but best of all it is normal food - foods you eat most of the time, not foods that you cannot pronounce. It has really good recipes in it and I would recommend it to anyone. I talked my mother in law into getting one and she LOVES hers too. The recipes will either be 5 ingredients, 15 minutes or both. There are never more than 10 ingredients to make the meals - so its fast, tastes great, healthy and cost efficient. I am going to buy another one for my vacation home - this is truly a great buy!! You will not regret it.

Good Cookbook for Busy Folks
I had borrowed this book from my cousin and had to get my own after hanging onto it for longer than I was welcome. It is my go-to resource when I have some chicken (or stew beef or pork loin) thawed but no idea what to do with it. Recipes are simple and based on a list of ingredients that you keep on hand. Some of those aren't so standard for me, but they were fairly easily tracked down. Many of the sauces can be applied to several types of meat. I also bought Cooking Light Superfast Suppers, which is OK but not as good.

I love this cookbook. I am gone from home 11-12 hours per day. I feel brain dead when I walk in and try to figure what's for dinner. This book has given back the pleasure of dinner in our home. I understand some of the criticism (instant rice in a bag) may be justified, but I just simply use the wonderful basmati or brown rice my family loves. I have found most of the recipes incorporate healthy vegetables. The side suggestions give me the push I need to expand the entree and the shopping list is a real asset in working my way through the grocery store. I would recommend checking it out at the library and see for yourself if you are deterred by the criticism of this book.
