Good scale!
Well packed, outstanding condition, simple to use instructions. Zeroed the scale per instructions and my wife and I love it! EASY to read large scale dial. None of the problems a few others here brought up. It's results are VERY consistent. We're well satisfied with it.

Very Inconsistent
This scale appears nice enough. Its bulky and feels very well made but it is nearly impossible to keep at zeroed and measures slightly different every time you step on it. I use it on a well-maintained level, solid surface and the tension in the scale is just inconsistent. I want to like it and plan to keep it but its kind of annoying to use.

Best scale I've owned
I've owned the scale for several months.Positives:1. It is precise. It gives the same weight consistently when stepping on and off the scale. The old digital varied by as much as 5 pounds.2. Obviously. there is no way to tell, but it may be more accurate. The weight is close to the scales @ the health club and several doctors offices.3. The dial returns to exactly zero most of the time.Negatives:1. the dial is harder to read than a digital scale.2. It is large: 12" x 18 1/2". Make sure you have room for it.

Large, still hard to read the persize weight and ...
Large, still hard to read the persize weight and at least 5lbs off. Instructions suggests to step on and off, adjust to 0, try again. I have done that about 10 times - each time weight was different. If you are looking to see exact weight change, stick with digital. Also, it cost me $40 to ship it back. Waiting for the rest of my money back.....

it's nowhere as bad as what I would get with a digital scale
What is it with consumer digital scales that no company can seem to get right? I decided to go back to what I remember scales being when I was a kid. Although there's still a difference in weight between what this reads and what you get with a beam scale at the doctor, it's nowhere as bad as what I would get with a digital scale. This is definitely not a low-profile model by any stretch, but at least it's more accurate. I consider that a fair trade-off.

Quality is never expensive. (Might pay more, but you get what you pay for.)
Bigger than I was looking for, BUT easily better than anything else I was seeing. Yes, it's more expensive, but it ACCURATELY reads your weight. (I liked my OLD ONE that showed me ten pounds less, but I hated it every time I went to the doctor's office and found I was ten pounds more than it said!). I also like that it goes to my weight immediately, instead of sitting there, hemming and hawing over what weight to assign me (which is what my OLE ONE always did).

Accurate scale that is easy to read for those who weigh without their glasses
Accurate scale that is easy to read for those who weigh without their glasses! I followed the instructions and adjusted the needle to zero for each use. I noticed after a few weeks that it needed less initial "zeroing" but the accuracy was still great. I bought this because an electronic digital scale I had just wasn't consistent in weighing - and depended on batteries. This is great and no batteries. Good quality construction.

A Real Disappointment
I first realized that I had made a bad purchase was when I couldn't get the scale to maintain a zero setting. No matter how much I tried, once I stepped on the scale (or even pushed on it with my hand) it would not return to zero. Then, I checked for reliability... how close it was to the same reading on multiple attempts at weighing myself (all within a 5 minute period). No accuracy at all... The readings varied up to +/- 2 to 3 pounds. When I gave up and decided to ask to return the unit for a refund, all I got was silence from the seller. Save your time, save your money. This one isn't worth it.
