Vitanica Slow Flow, Menstrual Flow Support, Vegan, 60 Capsules (Slow Flow)

Since I'm in the US and Healthcare is a business here, and I'm grossly under insured just to get the insurance I can, I have to be careful about how often I go to the doctor. I did have some rx left over that wasn't expired yet and that rx only worked half the time when my monthly decided to freak out. Freak out as in so bad I would almost faint, I slept a lot, I was so weak, couldn't stand for more than a couple of min, felt like I was giving birth to clots the size of an adult's fist and it would last WEEKS. It happens around twice a year. My only cure is a hysterectomy according to my doctor. But I can't afford my high deductible at the moment. I took my rx and it slowed things, but made me feel like I was dying from weakness and bloating. So I stopped and the hemorrhaging ramped back up. Bleed to death and feel OK but weak or feel like dying and only half the blood. Sigh. So I tried this. The label directions aren't the same as the directions on the product page. So I followed the label directions and took 3 of the regular pills. Within a couple of hours it slowed significantly but I didn't feel bloated. I saw another review here that said to use the fact acting stuff, so I ordered that. While waiting for the fact stuff to come in, the bleeding came back with a vengeance. I started the fact acting bottle as soon as it came in. Within 24 hours, only an occasional clot here and there would occur and I felt energetic and not bloated. Within 36 hours the nightmare ended and I'm free. The pills are massive and there's no real after taste. I feel better taking them with a bit of food and about 8oz of water. Usually pills don't set well with my sensitive stomach, but these did just fine, no issues. The value for the money is good, because it's cheaper than feeling like you're dying, changing feminine products every half an hour, doing emergency laundry every day, or getting surgery in the US. I don't know if this is a long term fix as this is only my first time trying it. But if you're in a tough spot like I was, I just wanted to say it worked. And for what it's worth, I'm usually a naysayer about herbal/ homeopathic remedies. Like I really did try this because I had no other hope or obtainable options. I'm so happy and appreciative that this was available. Thank you!

I have to be honest; this stuff is a god send. I wish I could hug the creators of this amazing vitamin/medication. Vitanica Slow Flow is more then I hoped for. Here's my long-winded story. After bleeding for a month, saw my doc. Doc said, "Those in perimenopause can have this happen. I'll send you for an ultrasound and to an OBGYN." Two ultrasounds later and OBGYN who said, "Thickening of the uterine wall. Get surgery." Went home researched the procedure and it has mixed reviews. It might help; it might not. More often than not works for a short time then it all happens again and people end up with hysterectomies. At this point I was in month 3 of bleeding and doc said "Ok, it's fine. We are just going to watch for anemia because your numbers are insanely low." No @#$! I told you that it's a murder scene in my bathroom every hour because NOTHING holds the amount, I was bleeding. Then one day it just stopped. I was so grateful for the blessing and moved on. Went almost a year with just some spotting here and there and figured. Oh, thank goodness, maybe I'm finally in Menopause. I was wrong. I started bleeding again, at first a normal period, then week two it got crazy heavy. I was back to the bathroom every 30 min to an hour. Had to get the period diapers along with an ultra-tampon. it was so bad. The clots were by far the worst part of it. At a month of this, my mental state was not great. Worried about anemia again and knowing that my insurance is worse now than it was before I started a search online. I found someone on a review of this exact product. Her story was extremely similar to mine. I finally felt like I wasn't alone and she said it worked for her. I was already two weeks of heavy bleeding at this point so, I decided to try it. Day one, took it as directed, and it slowed a bit. Day two, took as directed, and it slowed way down. I could actually leave the house and not be scared. Day three, took as directed and it went down to spotting. OMG! This stuff is amazing. but what it I stop taking it and it all comes back. Day four, tapered down dosage to see what would happen. Just spotting still. Day five, tapered down again, Nothing. No bleeding. Day six, didn't take. No bleeding Day seven - one month later. I have no bleeding. I honestly think this stuff saved my mental state and my body. Thank you to the makers. If you are going through anything like this, this is an amazing product. It's worth it to have your life back.

In 2 years of dealing with heavy periods and awful cramping and as of late terrible blood clots, so much so that it was hard to have a life, I couldn’t go anywhere if I had plans I had to cancel them.. this right here felt like a miracle to me! It controlled the bleeding and the symptoms that come along with a period. I took 3 capsules the very first time I ingested the supplement, it took about 6 hours to kick in. After the initial dose I started taking only 2 every 8-9 hours and it worked wonderfully for me. I had gone from having a 32 day period to now just 8 days with Vitanica Slowflow. I’m only taking it while I’m on my period, not sure if I'm supposed to take it daily. I would definitely recommend it.

I've only used this for one full cycle so far, and it's been dicey. So no five-star rating yet. Taking the recommended amount can get real pricey, too. The bottle says you can take this up to six capsules a day for a short duration -- which it also says is three months. Alternately, it says, you can take one a day long-term. Usually being conservative in trying new things, I opted for one a day for a month before my next cycle, because this situation has been going on for three years and I am really, really tiring of it. Nothing! One per day didn't help at all. Until, in desperation, during that awful cycle, I went up to three in the morning, three in the evening. Apparent success! For whatever reason, my flow dropped down to a more manageable amount. Still heavy by any standards, but oh so much less biblical. I think between cycles I will stay at one per day, and when I start, go up to six per day. This will soon be my second month trying this pattern. If the six per day while on and one while off technique seems to work, or especially if it doesn't, I'll report back. I am adding some tincture versions of some of these same herbs to my regimen next month, so my scientific study won't be quite sound. I just want the flooding to be manageable until menopause. At least now, at this dose, I believe these herbs will help.

I am 42. I have fibroids and I am perimenopausal--this means I have about 2 days a month when I am NOT bleeding. And I do not just bleed, I go through everything. It is life altering and debilitating. I started these a week ago, and I do half of the recommended dose, and this has been life changing. I am on day 3 of no bleeding and I was even able to be intimate without Aunt Flow visiting as usual. If you're questioning should you use it, do it. It works!

I took this for only one cycle, taking the larger dosage recommended by the company for heavy bleeding. Three days later, my heart was going into Afib and and long-QT (look it up, this can cause stroke, heart attack and death) and was passing out regularly. Some of the herbs in this blend have a diuretic effect and can greatly deplete your electrolytes which is serious for your heart and all other organs. Because of taking this medicine one time, I now have had two weeks of debilitating heart issues, have had a couple doc appts, a cardiology appt, and I have to monitor my heart to see if I have to go to the ER. I couldn’t drive to work for a couple weeks because my heart was so off that I would pass out driving. Please take heed. Even though my period is horrible, I’ll take it over how awful I’ve felt and how scared I’ve been the last two weeks. Update: the company was kind enough to reach out to me and refund me for the bottle. They seem a responsible company, but please don't use large doses right away, and be aware they have diuretic properties- so watch your electrolytes.

Peri-menopause is not for the weak. For me, it meant extremely heavy bleeding that pretty much debilitated me for 7 days out of every 26 days. After going through this for a few years, I became Anemic and extremely worn down, despite taking Iron and trying to eat specifically for this condition. Gynecologist prescribed hormones which did nothing for the bleeding and caused all kinds of other problems. All the doctors said my next step was a hysterectomy (the path that both my mother and my grandmother trod around this time in their lives). Luckily, a few months ago I saw a Naturopath who recommended Slow Flow. I don't think it's exaggerating too much to say this product saved my life (at least my ability to actually live it). For those wondering how to take Slow Flow, my Naturopath recommended 3 caps in the am and and 3 caps in the pm during flow. Personally, I found I didn't need to take it during the entire cycle. Also, if you are only going to take it once a day, I would recommend taking it at night. What a relief not to get up 5 times during the night! My experience was that it started working within the hour and had both a short-term and long-term effect. The first month I took 3 caps twice a day for the first 3 days of my period. My bleeding was reduced to about 25% of what it had been. I was stunned. I was hopeful, but also a little worried that it might be a fluke. The second month, my first day was light (before it typically started in flood range and escalated from there). On the second day I went ahead and took 3 caps twice a day. I didn't really need more--had an actually normal period. The third month I didn't take any and still had a normal period. Blood tests show that my Anemia is resolved. I will try to keep this updated to show if it continues to work. I notice in the comments that many of the people with positive reviews state that they are in Peri-menopause, so perhaps it is particularly helpful for that. I am grateful that I did not have to have invasive surgery and that I have regained my life. I owe it to Slow Flow. If I could, I would give this product 100 stars. UPDATE: More than a year later and SlowFlow is still working great for me. I take it for the first few days during heavy periods: 2-3 tabs in the morning and 2-3 tabs in the evening. At this point, I find I can often skip a whole month, but if I need it, I know it's there for me and that it WORKS. I have found that upping the Vitamin K in your diet is also helpful (kale, cabbage, greens, broccoli).

I was going to wait to write a product review, but I am so surprised that this worked that I'm doing it now. I am peri-menopausal and my cycles have become crazy. I can go one or two months between periods, or 21 days like this last one. I bled for 25 days my last cycle and am on day 10 of this one with no end in sight. This cycle is probably the worst one of my life! I've always had heavy periods, but they've been manageable. This month I have been bleeding through thick overnight pads every 2-3 hours with a high capacity menstrual cup, which is untenable because I am a teacher and cannot go to the bathroom whenever I want or need to. I ordered this stuff a few days ago hoping it would at least slow down the flood. I took my first dose last night, 3 pills according to the bottle. I also took some Shepherd's Purse and ibuprofen (had been taking those for two days and they helped only a little). Last night looked like a murder scene in my bathroom. This morning I woke up and it was like someone had turned the faucet tap off. There was maybe a tablespoon in my cup and nothing on the pad. I was shocked! Niagara Falls became a quiet stream. My wild uterus has been tamed! I don't know if they will work that fast for you, but WOW. I was expecting a day or two for results, not overnight. I will continue to take this for the duration of my cycle and report back if there are changes. I know some ladies reported that these shortened their cycle, which is what I hope will happen. I am tired of bleeding for more than a week. Next cycle I am going to start taking them as soon as I start bleeding and hope they can cut my extended cycles back down to something reasonable. Some people say the pills are large, but I don't think so. I am used to taking a multivitamin and supplements daily and they're no larger than those. There is an herbal smell in the bottle, but it is not unpleasant and the pills themselves have no taste. I did not notice any side effects. Update: Per noticing changes. My next cycle after this review just ended. I bled for 12 days when I started taking the pills. This time I only bled for six, which was normal for me before perimenopause. I used to bleed for 17 or more days once that nightmare began. I started the pills as soon as this cycle started and continued throughout (3 pills twice a day). The bleeding was very moderate and manageable, nothing at all like last month. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and will continue to purchase it. I'd give it ten stars if I could because it has given me back control over my body.

This does not help women with menstrual issues or people who suffer from dysfunctional uterine bleeding, but it's good for women with normal periods or short heavy periods.

I dont know why I bought this stuff - snake oil really. Does nothing.

Helps with period flow that is sometimes much to heavy.
