Is this saw worth the extra $ compared to the skil 4495-02 6amp for example? thanks !

Just got one. SPECTACULAR. I cannot say how it compares to that Skil model, which seems to have almost identical features... EXCEPT, the Bosch takes T-shank blades so blade changing will be easier than with the U-shank style that the Skil uses. I replaced a very old Skil model (not as nice as the 4495 you are looking at), which took U-shanks, and after using this one, I would never go back. The Bosch is smooth, powerful, vibration free.

Atleast mine did. There’s usually 2 model #s one for hard case and one for soft. In my experience that’s how it goes.

Well worth your money.

It's the Lexus of jigsaws. I only use Bosch blades , this is an incredible piece of engineering. I'm amazed of the radius this machine can cut & never break a blade. Somebody stayed awake at night designing the Bosch JS260.
