Samsonite Underseat Carry-On Spinner With USB Port, Purple, One Size

I compared the American Tourister 4Kix with the Samsonite Underseat Spinner (this bag) and Verage Underseat Spinner 14” plus. The Samsonite Underseat Spinner was midline in price and size. The purple color is a muted plum. This Samsonite bag is a nice bag, overall. The pull handle felt sturdy and the bag was easy to manuever when full. I stuffed it to the brim and it maintained it's shape. The spinner wheels felt rubbery; however were not the double wheel type that seems to be preferred on underseaters. The Samsonite is on the left in the front view & on the far right in the overhead view (pictures). I love that the material and zippers seem durable. I am not a fan of the floppy canvas web carry handles; which seem like you may have to "chase' them if in a rush. Not really a deal breaker but, something to note. The handles also fasten together using a snap closure. The snap was stiff and difficult to open/close. Perhaps it loosens up with time. You can check the specs online, but my rough inner measurements: 14.5” tall, 12” wide and 7.5-7.75” deep. The main negative for this bag is the computer sleeve. It's handy to have but, is also sewn in at the bottom edge, with snaps connecting the top sides. It would have been great if they have made it completely removeable. This bag held a good amount of clothing. It held almost as much as the American Tourister 4Kix; The water shoes, snorkel and one swimsuit fit in the American Tourister but, I had to leave them out of this bag. I was able to fit to following in the main compartment, without overpacking and distorting the shape of the bag: 8 shirts, 2 long pants, 1 jeans, 5 shorts, 2 dresses, 2 out of 3 swimsuits, 1 coverup, 6 underwear, 3 pair of socks, 2 pair of shoes (flat sandals, 2.5” heeled sandals), 1 hat, 1 makeup bag, 1 mask. *as mentioned above the water shoes, snorkel and one swimsuit did not fit I’m very satisfied with my first impressions of durability, packing capacity, size and maneuverability. This is a nice solid bag that will fit most uses.

Picked this option for ease of movement when traveling to Japan. Does fit under the seats on JAL, is easy to move through the airports, walking through the streets, and even on public transport. The material is like any other suitcase, durable and can last when moving through and traveling. The pockets and storage options in this suitcase made it easier to pack for a two-week-long trip to Japan (packed four days' worth of clothes during the April-May timeframe). This has a strap on the back, which makes it easy to put on top of another checked suitcase when traveling.

I ordered what I thought would be a red suitcase. However, it is most definitely purple. I don't really care, but some people might. The 4 spinner wheels roll the bag quite nicely (but it was empty, so I don't know yet about when it is full). The wheels look pretty sturdy as does the rest of the bag. Problem 2 - it has a cord with a USB, with no instructions on the use, just a note that "Battery is Not Included". OK - but nothing showing what kind of battery is needed and where does it go? I probably won't use it. No locks, if that is important to you. I think it looks too big for under the seat, but we'll see about that on my next trip. There are lots of compartments and netted areas, but I am not sure what they are all for, since there was no instructions. You can unsnap the larger one for easier packing of clothes. I ordered this to replace my current under-the-seat bag (Amazon brand), solely due to going from 2 to 4 wheels. If it rolled better, I wouldn't be looking for a new one. Edit: No red color available. I must have been looking at red in a different brand.

I purchased two of these for a trip. One for my son and one for myself in black. I specifically wanted a spinner that would go in the overhead bin or under the seat and this little Samsonite was the ideal choice. For this trip, I used totes that went over the handle for the under seat personal item and slipped the spinner easily in the overhead bin. No struggles lifting it or wrestling to make it fit, which keeps the boarding process moving efficiently and is appreciated by the flight crew and other passengers. This little spinner is well-made with the high quality fabric and construction one expects from Samsonite. But the real surprise was how functional it is. It held clothes for a 5-day trip without using packing cubes. It held a pair of jeans, lounging pants, 2 pairs of shorts, 5 t-shirts, socks, underwear, tennis shoes and a hoodie sweat shirt with no bulging! The side pocket has a handy USB port that held the power cell and cords for my laptop. The interior pocket designed for electronics is sized to fit a tablet, but there was still room in between clothes to safely store my lap top. It's extremely light when unpacked, but even when packed, it still feels light and manageable. It rolls beautifully and the handle adjusts to the height needed for pulling or walking it at your side. My only concern is the handle feels loose and wobbly, as others have noted. But it held up fine. After putting this little spinner through the paces, I'm confident I can travel comfortably with ease. It may be small, but it's mighty! Thanks Samsonite!

I bought this underseat carry on bag for my first flight. I was nervous about what I could and could not take as a carry-on, as I read so many things about bags not fitting in the overhead bins or under the seats- especially on smaller regional jets. This bag was absolutely perfect! It fit everything I needed for my one day trip including a small laptop and tablet. It would have easily fit under the seat if there was a seat in front of me (I was the first seat in the plane so I had to use the overhead)- and easily fit in the overhead compartment. I was able to wheel it through the airport without difficulty and it was easy to maneuver when making turns. The bag- even full of my stuff- was super lightweight. I love the dark purple color- it is a very attractive bag and unique, so you will always recognize it in a sea of black or blue luggage! Plenty of compartments to keep all of your things separate- and a retractable handle that hides away nicely for storage. It has a USB cable that you can attach a power source to as well for increased charging capability on the go. Overall, I love this bag! It is my new go to travel bag even for short trips by car. Great price for what you are getting. If you are new to flying...or have been flying for years...this is a great carry on bag!

When the package was delivered I thought this item wouldn't possibly be a useful size. Then I packed it for travel: thoughtfully placed compartments and mildly surprising capacity to complement a 3-day business trip. Bag fit neatly under the seat with space for my feet (window seat, don't know about aisle). Wheels were a snap to maneuver, bag fit atop my checked bag easily, and not too large to hand carry if desired. Sturdy zippers. Handle length comfortable for my 5'5 height. NOTE: extended handle does not stay up--but I can live with that. Sturdiness over time tbd, but it's Samsonite so I anticipate reasonable wear. Over all, a bit more than I expected, especially for the price.

I travel internationally for work, and decided I wanted a roller bag for my laptop vs a backpack. I have a standard Dell laptop issued from work, dimensions 12.5inch by 8.25 inch. Below I purchased and compared the Samsonite underseat 4 wheel spinner with the Samsonite Ascella X 2 wheeled underseater. Overall the teal vs ocean blue color are really close in color, which is the color I wanted. And both are almost identical in outer dimension and similar weight when lifted. The spinner is about 1/2 inch taller when sitting upright. The 4 wheel spinner is on the right in the pictures. Overall my work laptop was too big for the 4 wheel spinner, the bag would not close with my laptop in the pouch. So no go for me. But otherwise was a nice bag that I would have probably kept. Samsonite underseat spinner Pro - 4 wheel spinner, has an option for an extension battery pack (if you need that), telescope handle easy to select lower height if needed Con - handles are floppy fabric material, the front pocket when zipped fully open flaps open and not able to hold or clip up, laptop pouch can not handle anything longer than 11.5inch and still close (is sewn in at bottom) Samsonite Ascella X- 2 wheeled underseater Pro - handles have some rigidity to them which would be easy to find and grab handles, the front pocket when fully unzipped has an option to clip to the side of the main bag so won't flop open unless you want that, laptop pouch able to hold my laptop and I could probably slid an iPad in with it as well. Con - only 2 wheels vs spinner, only 1 interior side pocket inside the main compartment (vs the 4 wheel spinner has 2), front flap has the laptop pouch so you don't have an extra large mesh pocket (only a smaller one in front of laptop pouch), was not as easy to select lower height on the telescope handle had to fully extend and go back down to lower height but did end up stick at the lower height after this process. Overall minor details I would not have known if I didn't buy 2 together to compare.

Wirklich tolles Teil. Besonders gut finde ich, dass man diesen Koffer noch über das Gestänge eines anderen Koffer stülpen kann. Somit muss man nur ein Teil bewegen. Die Größe ist einfach wunderbar. Der kleine Koffer ist vielseitig einsetzbar…. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Samsonite è sempre una garanzia! Il Trolley, nonostante le misure ridotte (può essere risposto sotto il sedile in aereo) è strutturato internamente benissimo e contiene davvero tanta roba!
