LIPHA TECH Aegis RP Rodent Bait Station - CASE (6 Stations)

These are nice bait stations that do what they are supposed to do. They secure the bait to keep it from being carried away in chunks and also protect it from dogs and cats and other animals that aren't the intended targets. Please don't buy bait use it without these traps. They are easy to use and inexpensive. They work well. The mice and rats are not deterred from using them.

I used these to solve a fruit rat problem, where the were eating our oranges.. The bait selected was Neogen RODENTICIDE Havoc XT Rat Bait Block Pouch, 8-Pound (best rated). At first I continued to lose fruit, but after a week or so the rats just disappeared from the scene. Placed the LIPHA TECH Aegis RP Rodent Bait Station on the ground and on the adjacent wall where the rats traveled. Both locations got bait eaten. Highly recommend this combination.

The description clearly states that the units come with a key. Our shipment did not come with a key which meant that the units were unable to be used until I purchased a key for an additional $10. Also....once I was able to open the bait boxes I discovered that none of them had any of the metal bait rods that secure the bait inside the boxes. The seller quickly responded and shipped out the missing components. Once those arrived a few days later, we were able to get the bait boxes configured and deployed on our property. The boxes are good quality, the locking mechanism is a good safety feature, and we're very impressed with the product overall.

Living on the edge of a corn field with a lot of new construction around me we were getting a lot of mice. I broke down and bought the bait stations after catching several mice per day in live traps for several weeks. I put the bait stations around my house hoping to stop the constant stream of mice being driven out of the fields and into our homes by all the construction. After placing the bait stations we no longer have a problem. If I could go back in time the only thing I would do differently is I would buy the bait stations sooner.

About the same as more expensive units. Does the job. Mainly purchased for weather resistant outdoor use.

We live on a farm and this last year have had some rain and wow have the mice and rats came in big time. A long time ago I got a bunch of mice and rat bate and put them everywhere. Well we had pack rats in our barns and all they did with the bate was carry it to their homes and pack it. A pest control man told me to use the bate machines and that the pack rats will nibble on them and it will kill them. I will always use the bate boxes. They are well worth the cost to get them, and they will last. I would recommend them to everyone.

Absolutely NOT squirrel proof. The squirrels belly crawl through the hole, gnaw enough bait away to get it off the spike and pull it back out. I saw quite a few squirrels running across my yard with big pieces of bait in their mouth. I tried putting obstacles in front of the wholes that a rat could maneuver around, but was to small and twisting for a squirrel. The squirrels moved the traps. Pushed, pulled, worked in pairs, even lifted off the ground stakes to get the traps clear of the obstacles. Genius squirrels? These traps are however, easy to use. I am now putting cement blocks on top so the squirrels can't move them, as well as using blocks and big rocks for obstacles.

These work great but I would recommend getting the 6-pack case. If you have enough of a pest problem to order one, you should order six. I'd load them with the Apple or Peanut Butter baits and NOT the pellets if you have pets because all of our pets seem to think these are toys made for shaking the pellets out of so they can eat them. No fatalities with chickens or squirrels but it did fix our rat issues in a permaculture food forest with over 400 fruiting plants. Not the most green of solutions, but five stars for a solution that works.
