I purchase these disposable pull up under pants for a very close 62 year old male friend who suffers from prostate cancer. He was diagnosed as being stage 4 and chose 1 of the surgery options that were recommended by his doctors. While the cancer is under control his bladder control is not. The doctors are still optimistic that the control will come back and to give it another 6 months chance. In the mean time no one prepared him and he never gave a thought about needing incontinence garments. His savings depleted and urinating, night and day, more than he ever had before the surgery he was in some really expensive trouble. I have asked about this situation at the senior center and they told me how desperate those with incontinence become and there is little assistance available to them. I am older than he is and on a budget myself. I know how I would feel if I had urine running down my legs, no money and was staying at home because I smelled like urine all the time. I have been spending $200.00 a month out of my personal savings to help keep my friend dry. I recently found this True Care product here on Amazon. It is a much more affordable product and the count is more then most of the other products of its kind on the market. My friend reported back to me that he could not wear them to bed at night because they would tear when wet for more than hour. He sleeps soundly waking only when he feels cold and wet. They do work well for him when he wears them around the house but if he is having a heavy flow of urine day they will leak before he can change them and if sitting in an upholstered chair it can get wet. Laundering his outerwear is expensive especially because he has to use coin-op machines. Laundry, another expense that he was not prepared for. I do save about $65.00 a month by purchasing the True Care Men's Extra Absorbency Incontinence Underwear, 72 Count. He recommends that you give them a try them and so do his friends who have tried them,too. The friends admit they have a lighter output of urine which allows them to wear them to bed and out and about town. The decision in the end is yours. Just remember not to yank them on and stretch them out of shape. After all they are paper and they will stretch and tear just like the high priced products. Be gentle!

When I became incontinent I bought several brands of paper diapers. These are the least best of all that Amazon offers but will do in an emergency. I use them when low on better quality alternate brands, and will never reorder once they are gone. They are not bad, but also not good. They do not fit well.

These work really well and are far more economical than more well known brands

These are comparable to both Solimo, an Amazon brand, and Depends. The quality seems to be pretty similar in terms of absorbency and fit. These do not fit best. Depends are the most reliable over a long active day. Solimo have a more comfortable fit for daytime, but need to be ordered in an overnight style for sleeping in. The biggest difference is in price. Depends can range in price from sixty cents to one dollar sixty. The Solimo are pretty reliable at forty-six cents each. The cost isn't that important to me, though I dislike the one dollar sixty for obvious reasons, so I just pick whichever. It depends. Ha. I think that honestly, people need to try the major brands to see how they fit differently. It is like with all of these products. One of my children wore Huggies and the other wore Pampers.

They leak , these are supposed to be extra absorbent!! Save your money.

The doctors took two years to figure out what was going on with my husband's bad kidney scores. In the meantime he started wearing protective items, going from shields to guards to full underwear to support sudden urges to go that turned into accidents if he didn't get to a toilet IMMEDIATELY. Finally this spring a hospital urologist finally realized what was going on: his enlarged prostate was blocking his urethra, and the urine being retained in his bladder was backing up into his kidneys, causing damage. To counteract this he had a Foley catheter for six months--NOT a fun trip, but he was remarkably adaptable and even went to a convention with it on--and it almost completely turned his bad kidney function around. In October he had a TURP procedure. Once he started to urinate again the need was always very urgent. He was incredibly lucky in that his supervisor at work actually likes him because he is dependable and does his job well, and so he was allowed to telework where he was only 15 steps from the bathroom. In the past few months this is a little more under control and he has gone back into the office. One of the reasons he has been able to go back to work is this type of protective underwear. His least favorite are Depend, because he says these do not feel as if they are pulled up all the way. Until now his preferred brands have been the Walmart/Sam's Club underwear or the Kroger brand for the price; if we had a good coupon he also got the CVS brand, which are more expensive.
