I have been using this item for about 1 week now, and noticeably the charger has been getting very very hot.Two Days ago the charger let out an explosive bang - tripping all the electricity in the house. I could immediately smell burning. Upon investigating, the charge is showing visible burn marks from fire.This is incredibly dangerous.I understand this is a cheaper version of an expensive product but I did not anticipate this almost setting my room on fire.

This is a stark warning to all those thinking of buying this product. Foolishly I thought a review left previously about this product blowing up was simply someone being unreasonable, I mean this is Amazon right, surely a company as big and powerful as Amazon would not allow life threatening products to be sold on their site? Well they do. The product arrived on time, well packaged. I opened it this afternoon and plugged it into my Macbook Pro. Five minutes later my wife and I smelt smoke and then a loud bang. The whole house went dark. I grabbed a torch but I knew straight away what it was. Climbed under my desk, unplugged the charger and flicked the fuse box. Everything back to normal except a Macbook that wont turn on and a burnt out plug. The attached photo shows the burnt charger. I accept not severe on first inspection but my neighbour who is a volunteer fireman and electrician said it must be reported. I am calling Trading Standards in the UK on Monday at 0900am when they open. There is a strong possibility this faulty product will start a fire in your home or business premises. Luckily we recently had our home rewired and a new fuse box installed.What surprises me most is someone left a similar review once before here and yet Amazon still allows this company to trade on their site. Surely a product blowing up should immediately cease the sale of the item concerned until it is inspected? The product is still "for sale", I just checked. Come on Amazon, you have revolutionised the way we all shop, the shopping experience is superb but this is unacceptable. I wonder how easy it is going to be for me to get a refund............

It is able to charge but the magnetic head is not very strong, always loose. It was quite hot while charging and took quite a while for full charge, can’t compare with the original one.

My old Mac charger got problem and brought this one, was not expected it works same as Apple original charge but when I received it and plugged in, the power suppled so fast same as original one, and exactly looks like original charger, grateful to have it, definitely high recommend

Unfortunately, after three years my original charger broke. I didn't really want to spend the money on an original one, so bought this one. The item was very nicely packaged, there was no way it could have been damaged in transit. The charger is exactly like the original. The magnet is strong, the cord is also very thick and sturdy, and it charges fast. I have been using it for a month now, no sign of breaking soon. Very happy with the purchase!

My MacBook charger was not functioning correctly and as a result I had to borrow my friend's almost every other day. This seriously made it difficult to do work on my laptop. By ordering this product, I was able to resolve that problem, and for cheap too! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who does not want to buy the expensive regular apple charger and wants a more durable one.

Great charger, no problems, works exactly as it should at a great price! I expected it works great! The delivery was on time and I 'm very satisfied. Power adapter does the job, great deal! Saves time to have a power adapter bin each working area. Just move to another area carrying your laptop and just plug in power when you need it without having to return somewhere else to get the power adapter you left behind. This thing was amazing after I left my charger in a hotel room. That's the type of thing I do.
