I'm confused... Is this product stainless steel as advertised or is it plastic?

Interior and exterior are stainless finish (although a magnet sticks to them). The six slide out dehydrator drying racks ARE stainless steel. There is one drip tray which is plastic. This dehydrator is a very good product. Digital Temp control and digital timer. I highly recommend this unit.

UL and ETL Listings are equivalent. No difference in the evaluation of the product for compliance with UL Standards for Safety

What is the advantage of having 1000 watts? Others have 600 watts.

More heat equates to more drying power. Essentially, is the same as laying your material in the sun or in a shady area. Both will dry the material; one is just a bit faster, that's all.
