California Costumes Women's Deluxe Classic Toga Costume

I have a toga party coming up this weekend and didn't feel like making my own costume. I bought the large with amazon prime for $21.99. The package arrived on time as always.. gotta love prime! However, the costume is missing the belt. It looks like some other people are missing the belt as well. I did live chat with Amazon customer service, was told that I could either have the costume replaced or get a $7 refund for the missing item. Since the party is coming up in 3 days, I went with the refund. The product is almost exactly as pictured, but there's nothing I can do to make the sash look as long as it is in the picture, while being folded over the belt. As everyone says, this dress is very see through, but the way the dress fits me is flattering but relaxed so you can't really see the lines my undergarments through the fabric. It IS stretchy, and I can see it easily fitting too tight, so I recommend ordering a size up if you aren't sure. I am 5'7", 135lbs and like to think that I'm medium, but went with large partially to be safe, but mostly because medium did not have prime. The large fits me really well. I already have a white tank dress that is not noticeable when worn underneath I will be wearing my own belt. Overall, I'm really satisfied with Amazon and with the product. The toga looks good!

Well made and nice material. Fit true to size. I’m 6-8 and bought a small. Not too short.

The costume was very cheaply made and honestly sewn terribly as the stitching was falling off however the fit is great and it hugs the body nicely. It was definitely worth what you pay for though as this is a super good deal at 20 bucks! Runs small for sure but it made me feel good in it and was a great dress for my Cleopatra costume!

I'm so happy with this dress! It was perfect for my aphrodite costume! It was so flattering and comfortable. It does run a little big and it has a bit of a stretch, so I advise sizing down if you want a tiger fit. The only con is that it is see through so I had to wear a slip under it. I also pinned the back panel of shoulder fabric to the sides to add more coverage. (So it looked like another skirt panel) and it actually worked really well (I took an extra belt from my husband's costume and used it as another shoulder strap so I could add the pink fabric)

ITEM WAS COMPLETELY TRULY 100% DEFINITELY WHAT The SELLER had DESCRIBED WITHIN THE DESCRIPTIONS!!!!!!!! Dress is not white it’s more off white/cream color. Fabric very thin, can see underwear and bra. I was expecting fabric to be a little thicker. (you get what you pay for lol) It’s a little shorter than expected as well but I plan to still use, will have to wear a slip and biker shorts underneath.

When I received this costume in the mail (it came faster than predicted by the order tracking) I opened it and noticed the material was even thicker than some, seemingly expensive, PartyCity costumes that I tried on! Why pay $50 when you can order these awesome costumes from California Costume for way cheaper. Says the poor college student! PROS: Cost, fast delivery, appearance, comfortable, modest, good fit, good deal. CONS: Slight transparency (thats what tan undies/dress slips are for), tunic slips off shoulder sometimes, slightly flimsy velcro belt.

Because of the mixed reviews, I went ahead and ordered a Large and XLarge to compare the two sizes. I'm 5'4, 165lbs, wear a size 11 in pants, and medium in tops. The dress material is really high for the price that I paid. I would describe it as a mixture of stretchy polyester with a silky smooth feel. The XL was comfy, slightly loose fitting, and comfortable. My only issue was that the top of the dress kept falling off my shoulders and was way too large for my upper torso. I returned the XL and kept the L because of that reason. The L hugs my curves more which may make some women uncomfortable. The length of the dress is appropriate, in my opinion. Comes down between mid thigh and right above my knees. The color of the dress is a cream rather than white, which can make it trickier to find a slip that will even out the curves and go unnoticed under the dress. I bought the dress for a Medusa costume for Halloween. Will upload pictures once I have the outfit all put together.
