Food looks amazing
Interesting book

Disappointing
Too many pages for the information actually provided. Over priced for what it delivers. The larger and more expensive book Supra was much more informative, much better value and written by a native Georgian.

It is all taken from her book "Tasting georgia"
I really liked the book "Tasting Georgia" by the same auther, and wanted to learn more about the Georgian Khachapuri and Filled Breads. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tasting-Georgia-Food-Journey-Caucasus/dp/1843681250/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=carla+capalbo&qid=1584460344&sr=8-1From the description of this book I thought it would be a somewhat more elaborated presentation of these breads - even if only 64 small pages. However, to my dissapointment it is mostly a word by word extract from her previous book. The book is very small, more a pamphlet than a book. Of the 64 pages about half are about the breads and this is well presented: She gives a master dough with yeast and an alternative with baking soda, and gives instructions for mixing, filling and baking. There is also very brief instruction on cooking in a skillet. This takes 12 pages of the book. Furthermore, there are about 20 pages with a total of 8 different recepies for filling the breads and pictures of each. In addition there is a hot variation on the bean filling that I did not find in "Tasting Georgia" - see image. If you just want a short introduction to these breads, this book may serve you OK. However, it is like getting a small book with 64 pages on Italian pizza with just dough and 8 toppings: Even if it is well presented, there is too much fluff and simply not enough on pizza to make the purchaser of a even a small book on the subject satisfied.

This is not really a cookbook!
Caveat Emptor - this is an interesting read if you are invested in how different regions in Georgia stuff their breads. When it arrived in its package, I couldn't remember what I had ordered. THIS COOKBOOK IS THE SIZE OF A GREETING CARD and is the wordcount of a graduate school term paper. Because of its size and format, the only way to follow the recipe is to constantly refer back several pages and then find your place again several pages forward. I'll save it in my extensive cookbook library as a curiosity, but I'd been hoping for a workable cookbook.

Misrepresentation as supplemental to the Tasting Georgia Cookbook.
Absurdly expensive tiny book with repeat recipes.
