Fun project!
I love this quilt! My daughter is almost 9 and can do it all herself. We aren’t done yet but it is great quality and she can’t wait to sleep with. It. Fun project that can actually be used and enjoyed for a long time! Will be buying more to use as gifts! Perfect for 8+

Great craft project for ages 6+
Bought to use in our homeschool for a no-sew quilt option. We made 2 mini blankets from the kit. I love the small slits in the fringe to make assembly so much easier. Glad I decided on the Melissa and Doug kit. Wish there were more color options, but overall was perfect for my 6 year old. Some color squares are thicker fabric than others but all of it was quality material. I didnt have any issues with ripping while tying. Would definitely buy again for us or as a gift.

Beautiful and great for working on fine motor skills.
I teach students with visual impairments and purchased this as a gift for one of my students. My student was a 3rd grader that has fine motor issues and couldn’t tie a knot. We worked on it during our class time and by the time this adorable blanket was finished she was ready to start tying her own shoes. This was a fun, beautiful project that gave my student lots of practice tying basic knots.

Fun quilt to make great for a service project or gift
The Melissa &Doug quilt is a good gift to give to an older child to assemble. This would make a great girl scout or merit project or a gift. I chose the Windsor pattern to do.The directions were easy. The quilt pieces are soft but you have to be extremely careful and line up quilt pieces. Do not tie the knots to tight incase you make a mistake and have to untie. The colors blended in for me and I missed a few so I found my mistake and went back. Make sure your fully awake when assembling the quilt. The size of the quilt was nice. This will make a good throw or baby quilt. If you wanted to make a quilt for a twin size bed or full you would have to assemble two or three more quilts and tie them together. I do think this is a fun project but I would give this a good 3-4 day project so people can take a break if they need to. You could do this in one day if you really focused. I was pleased with the quilt.

Great sewing type project, but all you need to do is tie knots
These have been really fun for our kids. They seem like a great pre-sewing project since all you have to do is tie knots, and at the end you get the satisfaction of having made yourself a cozy blanket. It would be great if they came in more colors.

I got this for my granddaughter for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. She’s 8 and had no problem creating her blanket.
