Perfect for a toddler!
My toddler loves playing music in her room. We gave her an old (but really expensive) CD player/radio that we weren't using anymore and when that finally died, we wanted something fairly inexpensive that could stand up to a toddler's rough hands. I had hoped to pay about $20 but couldn't find anything with good reviews that fit the price tag. I even tried a wall mounted unit that was more than this because I liked that it could go on her wall, but it was designed to leave a blue light on all the time. What?! Why?! So, I found this and gave it a go--it's completely perfect and I love that the size fits her shelf better than any of the others would have. It seems durable, it's easy to use and pretty intuitive for a toddler. The sound is fine and the controls are nice because they are very responsive--we can listen at a pretty low volume without it being an "all too loud" or "all too quiet" adjustment. I think the price is a little high for what it is, but that said I couldn't really find anything for less so I suppose it's in line with current pricing. I'm guessing people just aren't using CD players much anymore with phones and tvs that have music channels, so the companies that make these have to raise the prices just to make anything off of them. It's the only explanation I can come up with for why this simple technology that's more than 20 years old isn't super inexpensive. But, that's neither here or nor there. The product is good, it works well and time will tell if it's as durable as I hope.

Sounds good
Have no complaints with sound quality for the CD player. We tried Bluetooth and that was fine too but its not used much. It will sound fuzzy if you blast it up to 11 but regular listening is fine, sounds good. It was for my toddlers toy shelf so she has access to her music. Its compact and easy for her to use. Its lightweight so I had to wedge a book behind it to stop it moving backwards when she pressed the buttons. **update** Bought in January......CD player stopped working by September. Radio and Bluetooth still work though. My toddler used it everyday for her cd's and was quite rough with it..... would also use it as a plate! Decided to buy the same one again, to be used with more care than the last one.

Great Value... Not very loud. Everything Works.. so that gives this 4-stars. Only one out there at this price with CD/FM/BT/MP3
Value for the WHITE/SILVER one makes it a decent purchase. Bass is OK...yet the sound is mild and weak. I know it's not a home entertainment item. I got it for it's ease to slip in a suit case for trips. No worries other hotel guests ever calling downstairs on it being too loud, so keep that in mind. Nice little unit...if it's still in the $30's...I'd buy it for the kids or for a good bathroom unit. The sound is not so weak that you can't enjoy it in a large bedroom. Maybe you hate your kids loud music*?* Well here ya go. ;) I wish is had an antenna... just has a long cord for an antenna that would make it more pleasing to the eye. All it needs is that ant. and one more speaker, but then you're probably be looking at $50's+

Compact and comes with a plug in power cord.
I was in search of a compact portable device that gave me the option to plug it into a wall outlet. After several days of looking and reading reviews on portable CD players, I came across this player. I am using it in my retail store and have a set of speakers with a sub-woofer plugged into the headphone jack. I wanted something small due to the limited space for such a device. The sound quality is excellent and the added blue tooth connection allows me to stream from my phone. I have had no use for the FM radio; which is integrated in the player but nice to have the option. Overall, I am very happy with the Jensen player as it has all the aspects I was looking for in a portable CD player.

Died after about 6 months - after warranty expired
It's not easy to find a reasonably priced and simple CD player with built-in speakers, but this looked promising. We purchased for a Christmas present - the extra features and compact design were nice. Unfortunately, it completely died a few months after the 90 day warranty expired with gentle daily use of primarily the CD player. Also, it doesn't have shuffle mode for the CD. As per the warranty PDF our only remaining option is to contact Spectra and send it - prepaid - to them for repair, at our cost. For a ~$40 CD player that died so soon, we decided to not even try that. Instead, we're pulling an old boombox CD player from a family member's garage, dusting it off and using that - apparently that can last decades instead of months. As to how it died, first the CD player stopped working sporadically - it would read the CD and show how many tracks but you couldn't do anything; powering it on and off again until it worked seemed like a stop-gap resolution. It then died completely a month after with the same symptoms. After that, the rest of the features stopped working - the radio does nothing, the Bluetooth does nothing and the aux-in doesn't work. We're now left without the CD player and with a piece of landfill that lasted less than a year. Maybe this was a lemon, maybe not. I hope other buyers have a better experience.

Perfect home office player
When my office went full-time remote during the pandemic we were asked to not play music on our laptops while working to reserve bandwidth on the vpn for meetings and trainings. I've played CDs and MP3 through my personal desktop computer for years, but I found that running it for just that was really heating up my home office. This CD player/radio/Bluetooth speaker is the perfect solution. It takes up very little room on the shelf next to my desk and it sounds good at low volumes, which means my partner can take meetings in their office without having a soundtrack. One thing that was not clear to me when I bought it was the Bluetooth connection is inbound. I can connect to it with my phone and play music from an app; but if I want to connect to it with wireless headphones I have to plug in my Bluetooth transmitter. It's also nice to know it's not spying on me.

I have a ton of old CDs but nothing to play them on. This boombox does the trick. The sound is not perfect but I get to play my old favorites, memories from long ago. I don't use the radio option because it only plays FM stations and I mostly listen to news stations on AM. The boombox is small, stylish, and looks great on my side table.

Excelente, lo compre para la cocina, mi mamá se la pasa escuchandolo, lo único malo es que a veces falla el reproductor de cd, aparece 00 en la pantalla y no lee todos los CD's ya sean originales o piratas.

Product service clause ended July 21, and this unit lasted 3 weeks beyond that before it stopped working. It was used every day until last week, and now it turns itself back off when I turn it on, every time. Just cannot get it to work any longer. I expected at least a year of use from this unit, but not 3 months and a bit. Product did work fine when it worked, but I would definately suggest buying a different unit than this one. Would not recommend this one!

I am disappointed that such a highly-recommended unit has started giving me trouble after only 18 months! I use it daily to listen to the radio but now the power button sometimes does not engage. I give it a whack and that does the job but I know it's only a matter of time until that doesn't work anymore. It's really a shame - it's a great little unit with great sound. Too bad it's not reliable.
