3M Super33+ Vinyl Electrical Tape (Black, 3/4 Inch x 66 Inch)

A classic black electricity tape without any brand markings, much better than that used by your everyday electrician. This 3M role is extremely good, with a decent stretch and a good adhesive properties without immediately sticking to itself. It is easy to use, cuts without any hassles and is lead free.For ease of use itself, I would give it 5/5.My roll came in a small plastic hard case which was not of a great quality. It is also an added cost which can be easily shaved as most consumers would throw the case after getting the item.If you handle small pieces of work on your own or care for safety of electrical equipments, do yourself a favour and buy this tape as the ease of use completely justifies the slightly higher price.Pro Tip: Do not stretch the last few inches of the tape and place them gently as if you stretch it right till the end, the stretch tension on the tape would cause the tape to retract a bit and open. This can be easily avoided by cutting with scissors and placing the ends gently.Recommended.

I got recommended to buy this 3M Black tape for any type of electric wires and after receiving it today, i was surprised that it works great for the electric wires than the normal black tapes. The Adhesion is impressive too.But what i am surprised about is the other thing I got with the tape. I dont know why the seller add this with the tape but if anyone have got this with the tape, please enlighten me what it is all about?

I have always been very frustrated with the kind of insulation tapes you get in India. Most of them tend to melt and turn gooey, thereby ruining the overall utility of the tape. This tape from 3M seems to be sticky only on those places where it is required and it comes with its own protective case. I also like the flex and feel of the tape as its very easy to use and manoeuvre. Overall highly recommended tape though its a bit on the costly side.

The tape is of excellent quality and has good adhesion. I'm using it just to cover switches. Slightly on a pricier side, but does the job well.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good

I use this and super 88 tapes depending on application... or what I can find at the moment.I've used less expensive tapes but this brand seams to stick the best and leaves less sticky dark residue on things than the other brands. I use it on wiring, on top of the same brands rubber coating and I have put it on the silicone tape to protect that from abrasion.It sticks well within reason. Sand and grease will hurt any tape so clean things off first.The mess created by other brands is my biggest concern, I once made a harness for a power supply and wrapped it inside split loom. I used a different brand tape and the result was that I had a mess on walls, my desks my equipment, etc. All at room temps.My last use of of split loom was for coaxial cable in the living room. This is by far a better product than any other brand I have used. Including the brands with animals on the label.I use it everywhere for electrical now. It may upcost 2 times the price but I've had really good luck, even opening up harnesses in vehicles years later where I used it.Every year I have to weatherproof an AC extension cord to the device cord that plugs in. (I have to replace the device every year) I may change up the first coating between the rubber and silicone but this is the only tape I trust for this application. It manages UV pretty well too.

Qualità eccezionale, chi conosce i prodotti 3M scotch non può che apprezzare. Personalmente come elettricista professionista lo uso da anni e non ho mai cambiato prodotto.

Excellent electrical tape, albeit it's overpriced. Unless you need UV protection, improved outdoor weather resistance and higher thermal tolerances I'd recommend going with scotch 700 tape. Justifying twice the price for this isn't easy unless it's situationally mandatory. Because I was buying this to repair an outdoor extension cord it was a no brainer. I'm still going to use 700 for normal jobs and use this 33+ for critical repairs.
