LagunaFI20084 Clear Flo Kit

Seems a good system, with readily available replacement parts and wear items, and a good warranty, but time will tell. I only gave it 4 stars, as it came with the UV bulb not working. After taking it apart, I discovered the bulb loose in the chamber, having never been plugged in at the factory. Looks like that function should have been tested before leaving to be sold. Otherwise seems to work much better than the cheap throw-away system it replaced.Update-8/15/2020. I took away another star, and probably should have only given it one star. After using this since June, which has been only 3 months at the most, I am very disappointed. The filters are totally worn out and have shrunken so badly, that the cleaning scrapers lack an inch of even making contact. All the bio-rocks do in the bottom is compact tight with sludge so badly that I have to disassemble the whole thing and clean it out. That area would have been far better served with more filters in the space. The only thing, and I mean ONLY thing, I really do like is the quick-connect system on the hoses. Beyond that, it was a waste of over $400; should have just bought another cheaper throw-away.9/15/20 update...1 star, only because none isn't an option. Do not buy this unit! It's only capable, maybe, of handling a very, very small pond, with maybe 1 or 2 small fish. Their warranty is pretty much a joke; after many emails, they agreed to replace it, if I paid shipping both ways...which was well over $100 in my case. I just ended up addressing the whole horrible experience with Amazon, and they gave me my money back. Go with another brand that actually provides service and customer support, because the Laguna folks do not!

This arrived in a big box, which help kept the original box from getting beat up. It came not damaged and was in wonderful condition. The pump runs peacefully, you need that in a pump. No noise at all, the water filtration definitely does it job. My pond is crystal clear. I have 30 big sizes Koi’s and they are all doing great. No algae, no cloud, or foam, this is the kit. I have had many pumps before this and this one works the best so far. I waited to write this review because I wanted to make sure it worked and had no problems. This was worth every penny, invest in one, you won’t be sorry. Japanese Koi’s are expensive, this pump is only worth 2 koi’s. I love it!

This is my second Laguna filter; the first was purchased about 4 years ago and is still running well; the only reason I got rid of it was I sold my entire aquaponics system and that was part of the ‘package’.I just bought a 650 gallon prefab tank and needed a filtration system so I naturally bought Laguna again, about two-three weeks ago. So far, this filter is running like a champ too.My only complaint is that Laguna doesn’t include the hose- when something is labeled as a “kit”, I would assume everything I need will be in the box.But because the product itself has been great, I’m giving it five stars. Should I ever need another filter, it will be a Laguna.

The media could not be loaded.  First order had a broken part identical to the one posted in a previous review. Amazon replaced the item quickly, so thank you Amazon. The replacement arrived intact. I plugged in the filter portion and it tripped the GFI. I tried another outlet and same result. Upon further investigation, the top portion of the filter where the electrical cord is located was leaking water. I was out of town for about a week so was using the filter, just not plugged in. I was really excited about this filter because of cleaning it used agitation instead of pressure. The pressurized filters stop working over time. Side note... the dysfunctional pressurized pump that I had to clean manually kept the water clean. This unit didn't even filter because I had algae when I got back. Returning and looking for something different.

I setup the entire unit and then It started leaking all over the place. Then I noticed all the problems. One of the tubing connectors on the side was cracked off at the bottom so it didn’t make a tight seal. The unit was pouring water from the area where the plug goes into the unit. No clue why. The unit was leaking a significant amount of water from the top. Opened it and found that the glass sleeve covering the UG light was cracked and broken, the seals weren’t even in the right place. The UV light itself has four prongs and one of them was broken off. I needed to get the pond up and running so I went to a local garden center and got a new one planning on returning this one. Setup the new one plugged it in and again it leaks. Found the glass to be broken again and pouring out water from around the plug. Have no idea why that occurs. On a positive note the pump worked great. It was all the filter. Had other Laguna products that I loved. Replaced my original unit because it suffered an accident with a new puppy and was no longer working. Had it for 6 years without a problem. Not sure why these are not as good.

J'utilise ce filtreur pour mon bassin d'hiver de 1000 gallons jumelé à un bakki shower. Malgré la masse importante de jeunes kois que je nourrit 4 fois par jours il garde les analyses de mon eau parfaite. Facile à nettoyer.Très satisfait à ce jour, l'avenir me dira si la pompe est durable.

I have a bigger Laguna for my pond 9 years ago, it was working perfectly.This is my second Laguna pump with UV filter, while, this time I am not lucky enough that the UV light stopped working after one month, I am still waiting for the seller to give me a response.

Product is a little expensive but it does a really good job. I should have bought the larger pump/filet though. The pump is a little weaker as it is going through the filter before it goes into my 6' high waterfall.

No complaints. Use ot for my pond. Easy to clean!

TheMaxFlow Pump did not deliver as promised.. seems very weak for the flow for 4 ft height.
