I bought this umbrella for one very specific reason: it needed to fit in my motorbike panniers without requiring me to dismantle the motorcycle, fold myself into three and seek planning permission.At just 11.8 inches when folded, it does the job perfectly. Small enough to disappear into a pannier, yet surprisingly substantial when deployed. The plan was simple — keep myself and my camera dry while photographing the Irish Road Races.Then came the Mid Antrim 150.And, frankly, the heavens opened with the enthusiasm of someone who had been waiting all year to ruin my photography.Torrential rain hammered the Clough circuit, puddles became ponds and eventually a small river decided to establish itself down the road. Meanwhile, I stood underneath this little mechanical marvel, camera safely sheltered, bone dry, comfortable and quietly smug while everyone else battled the elements.The 12-rib reinforced construction feels considerably more substantial than your average bargain-bin umbrella, and despite being subjected to some fairly enthusiastic weather, it behaved impeccably. The automatic open/close button is also genuinely useful when you're juggling a camera, waterproofs and approximately seventeen other things. It just makes life so easy.The water repellency is excellent too. Rain practically arrives on the canopy, looks around, decides it has made a terrible mistake and rolls straight off.Most importantly, it does exactly what I bought it for: it is compact enough to live permanently in my pannier, but big enough to protect both me and my camera when I'm standing trackside photographing racing.I genuinely didn't expect to become emotionally attached to an umbrella, but after surviving the Mid Antrim 150 together, I feel we've been through something.5 out of 5 stars. 🌧️☂️🏍️📸Small enough for the pannier. Tough enough for the Irish weather. And apparently capable of defying the meteorological equivalent of a personal vendetta.

So after some research on Amazon, It led me to this umbrella.DeliveryThe delivery was very fast and trouble-free. It came well packaged inside a box. the umbrella itself came with a plastic wrap over it.QualityThe look and quality of it is first class a lot better than some costing several times the amount. but the weight of it is slightly heavier than I am used to. But it does scream quality.Testing itI then tried it outside. to use it you have to take off its cover. undo the velcro strap, when you release it by simply pressing the button on the handle it instantly makes a loud "pop sound" It then shoots to life and extends it. It is fairly large with plenty of use under it. you are completely covered. it is not too big and not too small and if you are like me you carry a rucksack on your back it will cover the top of it also, It has slight movement at the top(Presumably to aid in windy situations). To compress the umbrella you simply have to press the button again. Once again you hear that loud "pop sound", you then push the handle up use the included strap to wrap around it, and then put it back into the cover. my only gripe is it can be difficult to get it back into the cover. I feel this needs to be slightly larger. but it's a nice touch to have one.customer supportI did have a small issue this was resolved very quickly with customer support so you can rest assured they will look after you.In useSo typical British weather I got to use it. it was raining very hard and it was very windy. this umbrella was outstanding. I did not get wet it coped very well with the wind it did not buckle or bend or invert.In shortI am very pleased with this umbrella it feels good in the hand, it screams quality. with very good customer support to back it up. My only gripe with it as I said it needs a slightly bigger cover to store it in. having said that I would highly recommend it to others it is well worth the money.

Pretty great umbrella for the price. I've bought similar at M&S for £30.The description is inconsistent in 2 places.It says 10 rib in dome places and 12 in others. It's 12.The length is listed at 11.5" in one place (which I used to purchase) and 12.5" further down in the description.Neither is too big a deal but it should be fixed eh?Auto open and close is great. Seems very good quality. Living in England it should get lots of use and the auto feature is perfect. We'll see how the wear and tear is a year from now.My only other complaint is the weight. I should have asked for it. It is much heavier than my previous one. Almost 7oz heavier. Not a deal breaker but significant and I might would have purchased my other choice on Amazon. The weight is 16.35oz.

"Ordered on 20 September 2023" - and only today one of the metal ribs has failed. It was well worth it.

My last umbrella failed on me with the strong winds and being a silk version could not weather strong gales also the strong gust broke the catch that keeps the umbrella to stay open so it slid down the stem and closed, consequently I threw it in the bin - this new umbrella is far better and I feel I could do a Mary Poppins, it goes in my rucksack for when I go on my walks but it is a little heavier than expected and adds weight to my existing items of flask and laptop etc - Im quite pleased with it though and happy with the purchase - well done peoples

Works well with strong rain when I'm out and isn't one that easy gets ruined by the wind, very durable! I live in a very rainy part of the UK so this works well for me and I like how it dries very quickly too! It's very big as well, fit for 2 people, Perfect size so that rain doesn't drip down the back of the umbrella and down your bag/ back. It's very easy to use. My only concern is that it is easy to accidentally press the open/close button. You just need to not hold it in a specific way however can be fiddly. But all in all this is the best umbrella I've had yet!

I've had this umbrella for about a year now. It is compact and strong which isn't easy to find. The push button closure/opener is quite aggressive and makes a loud pop sound, which makes people look over at you. It is good in windy conditions but has turned inside out a few times and looks like it's about to break but it can just flip right back over without damage. It's a good large size and well priced just over £10. However, yesterday it broke. I just got home from the rain and pushed the button to close it and then pushed the top and bottom in together to shorten the handle and the wire inside that is contected to the button and running through the umbella, just gave out and snapped like a rubber band. So the umbrella doesn't close or open anymore, by button or manually it just doesn't open. Unfortunately, it is near impossible to contact the seller for a "Life time replacement guarantee" so you really have to just buy it again. It is a good umbrella and lasted a year, I'll be extra light handed when closing the next one.

This is a fake listing essentially. I bought one of these ages ago and it was great. Near indestructible. I lost it so bought another but it is a different umbrella! The handle has a sharp edge at the end which put me off on the new version but I figured I would put up with it.The mechanism broke after first use and I can no longer open or close it. So a definite “Don’t Buy”.

Très pratique et solide, c'est le seul parapluie qui ne m'ai pas lâché jusqu'à maintenant. Seul petit bémol, le scratch de la lanière qui vise à bien serrer le parapluie est totalement inefficace.
