Mouse and Mole: Fine Feathered Friends (A Mouse and Mole Story)

My son and I enjoyed reading this book for school. His interest was completely taken and he was excited for me to continue reading. It even inspired him to paint his own picture of a cardinal (despite the fact hat he doesn't see himself as artistic) I had to take off one star for the Kindle edition. (If I were simply rating the kindle version apart from the story, it would be lower) I had a difficult time reading it because it appeared that they had a page from the book followed by text that was on the previous page we just read and ended up repeating various sections not realizing right away that we just read that part. See the screen shot for an example. I don't normally get Kindle editions but I needed the book in a hurry- like right now to read for a project. Now I am hesitant to do this again if this is a common thing!

I've been reading this and all the books in this series to my amost-four-year-old grandson using FaceTime during social isolation, and he loves them so much. He is currently obsessed with a different volume about Halloween. Such good humor, gentleness, cooperation, tolerance, and beauty in this small books! I'm waiting on baited breath for the next one to be published.

First my child gave this book 10 stars. I told him the scale was 5 and he gave it! 3 stars because "Mole got a little out of control running off the birds." Will purchase more in this series. Similar to Lobel's Frog and Toad.

Pretty good book, was helpful to order for my students to be able to see the book while we were reading it. This was a Flickertail Award Nominee for 2012.

Very good first chapter book for a small child.

Nice beginning chapter books that my 3 year old enjoys.
