Excellent. Worth the money
I was a little worried about buying this for my resin projects. Seems some of the reviews are hit and miss. I took it out of the box, put in the oil and pulled a vacuum. What you see on the dial in the picture is what it stayed at for the whole time for 24 hours! Never moved. I know I have a good seal and the pump is working. A couple of things...1) It came with a filter (see picture) but the manual doesn't mention where this is supposed to go. FYI the manual is pretty good for the most part.2) Came with oil and the whole bottle filled it to about the middle of the min and max marks but when it was pulling a vacuum I could see either a mist or a bit of smoke coming from the top of the fill cap. Not sure this is normal but it still pulled a vacuum.3) There is a thin mat that comes with it (see picture) but again I have no idea what this is used for.4) The gauge and valve mount are a bit flimsy as it just goes thru the side of the pot and then a nut holds it on. I had to crank mine down a bit to secure it. They do give you extra rubber washers (seals) so if they are damaged you can replace them. All in all it looks well made and works. Came well packaged too. Can't wait to put it to use.

Best solution for long term vacuum chamber storage.
I’ll be blunt. I have three vacuum chambers. All are Bac Eng because the quality is second to none. I have a small one for epoxy, a mid sized acrylic one for short term vacuum and special projects that require visibility. And of course this 5 gallon beast. I use it for storing things that require long term vacuum storage. This chamber was purchased almost a month ago and I pulled a vacuum on it all the way down to -28.5 inHg. I just checked it and it’s reading -28 inHg after all this time. That’s absolutely astounding for a vacuum chamber to hold for that long and barely lose any vacuum. The very thick tempered glass lid is a great innovation and is the reason for the incredibly effective consistent vacuum. Easily one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. Highly recommended.

Works great, support is a bit of a pill
I've been testing this over the past week and it really does work well. I'm using a diaphragm pump with it and I only really need to achieve about -28 inches Hg of vacuum and the combination works well. It has held the vacuum for several days, no problem. It might leak about 0.3 to 0.4 inches Hg/day, but with barometric changes thrown into the mix, it's hard to nail down exactly what the amount might be.I had to contact support to ask them what fittings to use with the included vacuum hose. If you can't supply them with an order number, they just ignore you, which makes NO sense. I gave them the manufacturer part number and they couldn't be bothered to answer this simple question. If you're curious, I measured the fittings and it's a 1/4 inch flare fitting at 45 degrees. Knocked a star for poor support.

Great Chamber/Pump Package
Product was well packaged and arrived undamaged. All documentation was present in packaging.Setup was easy requiring only open end wrench to align and tighten gauge/valve package mounting nut on inside of chamber.Glass top and top seal were clean and defect free. Stainless steel tub sealing surface was smooth without dents or scratches. Included hose has tool-free brass connectors w/gasketing. Easy and quick to install/remove. Hose has sufficient length.Liquid filled vacuum gauge was easy to equalize for ambient pressure prior to use with vacuum pump. Equalizing insures proper vacuum chamber readings.Vacuum pump was easy to fill with oil and initial startup was uneventful. Vacuum of 29.5 in.Hg obtained in <3 minutes. Chamber valves were closed, pump shut off and hose disconnected from chamber. Vacuum still at 29.5 in.Hg after 2+ hours. Impressive for a single stage pump.Would recommend to any other customer.

Buy This Product & Suffer Lots of Grief
Do Not buy this product. The fittings for the vacuum are cheap and poorly made. I have every air fitting known to mankind and I cannot determine the fittings for the exterior connections. The male side of the the pressure attachment points seems to be 7/16 x 20 but the other side with the exhaust says "1/4". I assume it is NPT but I can't get any fitting to work with it. I think they may have placed special "weird" fittings on it that will only work with their vacuum pump. This piece of Chinesium is headed straight back to Amazon. Will try another brand. BTW. The ball "valves" are a complete joke. There is no way they will seal anything due to their cheap, cheap quality. If you buy this product you are in for a large amount of grief.
