Soft Pellets for Axolotls - Moist Sinking Diet for Axolotl, Newts, Salamanders & Other Small Amphibians (3 oz (85g))

The pelts work as intended and our little guy likes them well enough. We do a mix between these and krill. Theese pellets work best if you place the pellet under the water level before you drop them for accuracy, just make sure they swallow the previous pellet before giving them another one. I would also recommend drying your fingers off after each pellet to prevent the pellets in the bag from getting wet and dissolving together.

Our axolotyl loves these things. The byproduct is a bit slimy and loose but whatevs. Good stuff.

Axelotle loves it. How ever it disintegrates really fast some within 5 mins. & some sooner if tong feeding. Pellets can be real small to tong feed. I just put his food in a small glass anf tipped sideways to help the food from making a mess.

We have a picky axolotyl and she loves this new food. She loves the taste of it because she gobbles it up every time. It’s definitely great quality food for a great price. The pellets are moist and sink to the bottom for her to find everyone.

My axolotl came to me as a rescue with very short gill fronds, due to an infection he had when he was young. His pink frillies looked fine, but his little fronds were nubs. After already having him two years, I decided to start feeding him this, and all of the sudden his gill fronds started quickly growing!! It's only been 2 weeks, and his fronds have more than doubled in length. I'm so so happy, and I wish so much I had started supplementing with this sooner! Even with eating a hearty diet of earthworms, he was very obviously missing some key nutrients that he needed to regenerate his fronds. Very happy! Also, I should mention he loves it! I put it in a bowl at the bottom of the tank, and when he's ready for it, he lays over his bowl like a puppy. We're two happy campers!

I have three axolotls - two adults and one juvenile. I’d never fed my adults pellets before since I got them fully grown, but once I brought home the juvenile, I needed to add pellets into the mix. These were an instant hit! Even though my boys have always been on earthworms, on their off-feeding days I give them about eight pellets each, and they gobble them right up. It’s obvious they prefer these over anything else. Highly recommend!
