Yes, I purchased this case on February 9, 2019, and am already looking for a replacement as my case has seriously discolored.

No. Pixel 3a is slightly taller than Pixel 3. This case is for Pixel 3.

Has the misaligned fingerprint cutout been fixed?

I didn't have the issue with mine when I purchased it. The fingerprint cutout was perfect.
