Ended up having to return this item, but only because Amazon emailed me saying it was out of stock, and my order was cancelled. I then ordered via another sales channel, but then a few days after that this purchase shipped. It's so cute! My daughter is petite and slim (age 11, wears size 12), and I ordered a size 12-14. It fit her perfectly! She looked just like a Roman princess. I was afraid it would be too long, since she's petite, but it was perfect (so keep in mind if your child is tall and you're looking for floor length) This IS a costume, so don't except couture quality. But it's very well made, and you will get multiple use out of it. Also, the cinched waistband is very pretty.

Because I'm a petite adult I can normally settle for children's clothing to fit me as well. This was a major point for me when buying costumes because the adult costumes often have ridiculously long length dresses. I bought this costume in a size large and I am an XS in adults. Although the costume was too short for me (easily expected), the waist was too loose even for me. I read that ordering a large would give me an approximate waist room of 30inches and I still went ahead and ordered it because a lot of times costumes don't run true to size. As an adult having so much room in the waist (about 30 inches), I wonder how much extra room there is for children. I normally receive costumes that run small and it works in my advantage, but this costume surprised me with a roomy waist. Overall, the costume was of okay material. It had a Velcro closure for easy on and off wears. The material was smooth and not like some of the nasty cheap fabric costumes. It was decent priced as it cost almost ten dollars more if I were to buy it from Spirit Halloween.

This costume looked GREAT on my daughter, it was her first costume ever that wasn't itchy and uncomfortable. It was a little sheer but not too bad. True to size. Tonight was Halloween and she got many compliments. She didn't wear the headband because we had purchased a gold metal one. The one that came with this costume was a little tight anyway. Super happy with this purchase!

My daughter is not tall but has a belly, so I ordered her the teenage size, but it was not too long so it must run on the small size. It fit perfectly, not alot of extra room, and you need to wear something under it, like white tank and bloomers because it is see through. Over all it was a great costume and got to us in time for the party.

Perfect Halloween costume for Helen of Troy. I had to take it in a couple inches to fit my daughter as it was baggy, and I sewed up the flimsy Velcro so it became a pull-over dress. I imagine this is a good thing since it will fit sturdy girls as well as slight girls. It is sufficiently durable to withstand many hours of dress up play. I would purchase this again.

as expected. little see through so may need to wear a slip under the dress. The headband is a little tight too. overall happy with purchase

The product was better than I expected, only thing is that the sizing is correct, but should be a couple of inches wider because one needs some undergarments to provide privacy. My grand daughter is slender, but tall.
