Very well made and a great value.
I received the package in 15 days, much faster than estimated by the shipping company. I am very impressed with the appearance and workmanship upon initial inspection of the axe and I will update my review as I have more experience with it. I have used a Snow and Neally Broad axe ( purchased in the 1980's ) and I use the Ox Head broad hatchets the majority of the time, now, when I make beams. The Ox Head broad hatchets are scissor cut as is this broad axe under review. It is a right hand configuration and I look forward to using it. I hope to purchase more products from this manufacturer in the future. At this time I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Great amazing axe for hewing
This axe is perfect for hand hewing logs. The blade is sharp the handle curved and blade is on one side of the head which makes it perfect for hand hewing logs. This axe is so well made

Well made broad axe.
I was very impressed by the quality of this axe head. It should be a very effective broad axe which are really used as big, two handed chisels.

Badly forged. and handle is very loose
I dislike this product. First off I waited over 6 weeks for it in the mail. Second when I took it out of the packaging the handle has large gaps which causes the head to wobble and I fear the head will come off with heavy use. Which the tool is intended for. The handle is very strong and nice wood but the shape is awkward to hold in hand. The base of the handle should be rounded with finger grooves. Lastly the metal is badly forged. I attempted hewning a few short logs I have and the edge of the blade already had dents and bends in it. I was chopping a log that was on another log. The blade never came in contact with the dirt or rocks anytime. This is impractical. just looks nice in the wall. And far to expensive. If I could return it I would. The appearance is nice but not good for use.

This axe is WELL worth the price. No regrets on my selection!
A bit hesitant to order this as I felt, at this price, it could not possibly do the task of hewing that I had in mind. Yet, I took the plunge and placed the order. Even if it failed, it would look grand on the wall in my "Man Cave".The axe arrived as stated and upon opening the package I was extremely satisfied. It arrived in excellent condition. Very pleased with my purchase. An ideally priced, right handed, hewing axe for my farm tasks at hand.Currently have this in my woodshop receiving multiple coats of boiled linseed oil before it gets full exercise. Projects for this axe is the hewing of curved arch red oak supports for a post and beam building, squaring of Poplar logs for sitting areas, etc. Again, farm/home projects..I will follow up with an "after action evaluation" when several projects have been completed.

Just what the husband was looking for.
We've been looking for one of these axes for my husband and hadn't had much luck. Glad to have found it.

What you see, you get!
The axe was well made. I bought it to display it. It has that Viking look. The shipping was as guaranteed. This was my second axe and I’ve ordered a third.if your after quality at a reasonable price he produces them!

Hewing axe for cabin building
The axe came well packaged. Its a touch lighter than I expected, and this turned out to work well for me. The blade is a nice thinner blade which takes a bite into the log better than some thicker blades, which works well for me. I do wish it was slightly heavier, perhaps a little heavier top on the poll, but, being lighter does work well overall. Hewing red pine cabin logs about 10" to 12" in diameter, cutting the jogs with a heavier axe and hewing with this axe and am liking it. Overall, I like it. Thanks, Ivan

Brauchbares Behaubeil
