EstesPS II Launch Controller

Spent a lot of frustrating hours trying to build my own, threw in the towel and bought a real live launch controller. This one is very nicely made. The plastic case is heavy duty and everything seems high quality and well fitted/designed. Have not actually launched a rocket with it yet but have tested it with an e - match. Price point was good and it works great!

A well built launch controller that will last for years to come. Add a lipo battery and cluster launches work great.

Loved the dual button to launch with the audible before launching rocket. Wish I was able to get sooner.

I had been using the Estes Electron Beam launch controller that came with the starter kit but when I bought a rocket that used Aerotech motors and igniters, it didn’t have the power to ignite it!I was running RC stuff that day too, so I pulled the wires out of it and touched them across a 3s lipo I had. That worked great and I was going to keep it that way.But a couple weeks later I saw this pop up on sale and decided yo buy it.It has an option to install a small lipo using a jst plug. I put a 3s 1000mah lipo in it and it has ignited everything I have thrown at it!I checked the battery after 10 launches and it was still reading over 4 volts per cell!!I could have kept using the wire to battery method but this adds an air of professionalism to our launch days.

What I like is that the controller has a 2-step process with visual and audio feedback. Alter some frustration with other controllers, I decided to get this one and it proved very reliable.My 10-year old grandson was able to master the launch sequence, as well as the safety features provided by the key and launch rod cap.Although it is intended for the multiple motor launches, it works very well for the most basic launch.

First of all it will easily ignite a psII igniter but not on C batts. If you read the instructions you will see that hooking a 3S lipo to the jst plug port in the batt bay will make it strong enough to ignite 4 ProSeries 2 igniters at once! This thing is a beast on 3S lipo!!! In my opinion its best controller u can buy for the money cuz of the multi battery functionality. Runs nicad batt packs as well as lipo and ofcourse C batts for E/F motors. I launch aerotech engines all day

It arrived in a timely manner, packaging could have been better bouncing around in a larger box. It's okay gets the job done didn't give it 5 stars because of its large bulky size and the key is way too small for the keyhole doesn't have a positive fit.

I've used the old type launch controller for years and while it was adequate, the new controller is very positive, has better and safer controls and I really like that it is set up for clustered engines. Nice too is the option to use rechargeable battery packs.The ignition of the engine is quick and sure.
