Arc'teryx Stinger Pant - Men's

Purchased these pants on another site, was very impressed upon receiving them. Sadly, I took a bad fall off of a rail, thought I caught myself OK only to look down and find that I had sliced a 2 inch cut in the back right of the pant, sadness ensued. I managed to cut through two more layers of clothing so whatever I landed on must have been very sharp, I am surprised I did not slice the back of my thigh open. I cannot fault the pants for durability though, even with the gash the fabric integrity seemed rock solid, no fraying or degradation.The material is light and durable but VERY thin, so you will want to layer up underneath as these only protect against moisture and wind, but offer nothing in the way of warmth/insulation. I have 80D GoreTex on my jacket and this seems quite a bit thinner than that. The keprotec lining on the inside of the ankle feels bulletproof and will likely stand up to any amount of abuse from ski/snowboard boots. The belt mechanism was comfortable and felt secure, and the double button fly didn't have me worried that it could come undone with exaggerated twisting or turning.These pants also just fit and look nice, as I am not a huge fan of excessively baggy tech clothing or cargo pockets. My only complaint is that the zipper hardware does seem a tad on the flimsy side, likely so to cut down on weight, but I would have liked to see slightly beefier zippers. However Arcteryx customer service is top notch, they even waived the re-panel fee ($40) when I sent them in to get repaired due to the fact that the pants were still so new.
