What an exceptional set! Similar to many others, the pandemic inspired me to be self sufficient with my hair. That and my hair stylist has gone downhill with haircuts lately. So keeping in mind I am incredibly inexperienced and know nothing about hair shears, I love what I bought! This set arrived in it's own cardboard box, not some oversized amazon box with air fillers. It felt heavy which I immediately thought was good sign. It felt like quality weight. I opened it up and was so impressed with the packaging!! The shears, razor and comb all came in thick plastic protectors, not thin crap plastic. It feels like there was actual effort made in presentation. Now for the shears, I just clipped a tiny bit off my length and they cut like a dream. People comparing the cut to slicing through butter is incredibly accurate! I tried the razor on my arm hair (I barely have any) and it worked like a charm. The case is also sturdy and looks well made. I'm so stoked I got this set. I adore yellow gold and gaudy gems, I feel like it was custom made for me yet ridiculously affordable given what I spend at the salon. My only concern is the long term quality of the gold finish. I gave pretty smudgy fingers and I saw fingerprints immediately. I'll probably make the effort to wipe the down after I use them. I also wish the shears had a slightly more pointy tip but maybe the rounded tip will reduce chances of clipping my fingertips. BUY THIS SET! It's gorgeous and functional.

I was overdue for a haircut when the pandemic hit and stay-at-home orders took effect. Three months later and I was so frustrated with the mess on my head I was just about ready to buzz it all off. Instead, I spent hours watching YouTube videos on how to cut my own hair and everyone was using thinning shears to blend layers, making for a flawless cut that looked so easy to do. I mistakenly thought all scissors/shears are created equal and ordered a cheap set from Ebay, only to have that old adage "you get what you pay for" reinforced - they were such obvious junk I never even attempted to use them on my hair. This set wasn't that much more expensive, so I was a bit skeptical, but the reviews looked promising, so I figured I'd give them a shot, and I'm SO GLAD I did. I am by no means a hair cutting expert, though I've been trimming my husband's and son's hair for a couple of years, and hadn't attempted anything on my own head since I was a rebellious teenager several decades ago, but this set is FANTASTIC! I was able to give myself an outstanding pixie cut that looks like I paid a professional to do. The tools are sturdy, well balanced, and oh so very SHARP. Word of warning to those with chubby knuckles like mine: thinning shears do not know the difference between fingers and hair and will bite through either one with ease. Well worth the price as I expect to get a lot of use out of these.

My boyfriend and I bought these to do hair at home. They appear to be sharp and cut well. His hair is a bit thinner, and my hair is thin but a lot of hair. It appears to cut well on both of our hair types. The storage container works well to keep it organized and fits well in our cabinet.

I am no professional, but to me this pack cuts like one. Fits perfectly in my hand. Love the hair thinner for my bangs.

They don’t come super sharp. I did about 7 haircuts with them right out of the package and with certain cuts it would just bend the hair. The look and feel are nice but in terms of sharpness it’s not great. Probably better for at home use. I work in a high volume barber shop.

Been my favorite scissor set. Don’t need to spend hundreds on expensive set when these work just great. Sharpen every 6-8 months.

These scissors are very good. Regularly use as a hairdresser and stay sharp.

First I’d like to say that I’m not a hair dresser an I have zero experience cutting hair. I’m just going through my DIY era because giiiiirl in this economy?! You can’t blame a girl for thinking her Honda civic feels like a rolls Royce if she’s never driven a car before. So take it all with a grain of salt. I bought this hair scissor and blade kit expecting to give myself perhaps a mild trim, some face framing… perhaps even cut those bangs I’ve talked about for years… instead I survived what can only be described as a hair near-death experience. I fully intended to give myself a few snips, maybe fix a stray split end, and come out looking like a normal human. Instead, I emerged from my bathroom looking like I’d been attacked by a very judgmental squirrel. But somehow, I must give praise that these scissors actually worked. Sharp, precise, and solid, they turned my chaotic snip-fest into something almost salon-worthy. The thinning blades? Legendary. I waved them over my hair like a wand and suddenly my layers looked intentional, not like the aftermath of a tiny hurricane. I now fully understand why some people just cut their own hair… your ends may quake but somehow you will come out victorious. 10/10. My hair survived, my bathroom survived, and I might even try this again… though my neighbors might call the authorities if I do it too loudly. If you want to feel like a professional stylist, a chaos-wrangler and a hair miracle worker all at once, this kit is your golden ticket.
