Easy to Give Probiotics for Dogs - Dog Enjoyed These Fermented Smelling Snacks
The Zoeez Naturals Digestive Care Probiotics was well received by the resident VIP (very important Papillon). The treats are soft and similar in texture to crumbly play dough. My dog ate the treat without complaint and looked forward to receiving his daily "vitamin". I'm a bit concerned about the dosage - the dosage is as listed:Under 30 lbs - 1 chew daily30-60 lbs - 2 chews dailyOver 60 lbs - 3 chews dailyMy dog, weighing in at around 16 lbs now, can easily eat a full chew, but I give him half a chew, just in case. The chews didn't seem to effect him adversely, and he carried on with his day without any stomach or digestive issues. In terms of ingredients, they seem pretty standard for dog snacks. The first few ingredients include oat flour, glycerin, brewers dried yeast, rye flour, natural duck flavor, arabic gum, canola oil, soy lecithin, fructooligosaccharides, yeast extract, dried bacillus coagulans fermantation product. Because of the yeasts in this snack, the snacks do smell very fermented - I didn't like the smell at all, but my dog didn't seem to object in any way. While my dog enjoyed the snacks, I probably wouldn't buy them in the future. As far as probiotics go, my dog seems to enjoy getting a dose of yogurt more, and he'd be getting less fillers in the process. Overall, not a bad option if you're looking to give your dog probiotics in a very convenient form.

Smells fermented, which the dog liked--costs a lot, which I didn't
Ultimately the price is what did this product in. Our big boy needs quite a few treats to meet the prescribed dosage, and you go through a $17 bag rather fast. The dog had no issue downing all of the treats, as he seemed to love them. I think the rather pungent smell helps, but you probably won't be a fan yourself.Anyway, at a different price/quantity, I'd reconsider. For the price, it's just not going to happen. I found others for less than half the price that my dog loves.
