What a Lovely dog house, simple but strong!
Nice and easy to install. Though the design is a little simple comparing with the other, it is very strong and I keep it in my backyard all day long for my 2 little puppies. The materials are made by all wood and only the place it needs to be improved is the entrance area where may have caused wet area when raining hard without door. On the whole, my puppies loves it. And always like to stay inside if we don’t call them out.

The roof, the roof!
I like the materials and ease of putting it together. My caution is regarding the roof, which is secured with two lid support hinges. I have found that the roof needs to be secured during high winds. The wind comes in through the door and lifts the roof. It destroyed one hinge the first time it happened, and then I lost the roof completely the second time. I should have learned after the first time!

great doghouse
We should have ordered this years ago. Sturdy material, nice roof. Roof looks built to last, which is how our old doghouse died.

Disappointed - do not recommend
Got this outdoor doghouse for my 50lbs English bulldog. Should have taken the advice of some buyers here: the wood is quite thin and flimsy doesn't seem like it will last long. It is not easy to install at all. You need to have a power drill to drill the holes for most of the nails as there are no holes and it will be tough to simply use a screw driver. The black top cover is quite heavy and thick and I thought it can withstand some rain but no it does not. My dog was outside and the sudden rain made the whole house all wet on the inside. He could not even use it for shelter from the rain. There it goes for $200wasted.

Avoid this product
Made of flimsy material that will not support a large dog. The assembly screw have pulled out. Now involved w sellar in an endless string of emails where they have offered <50% of purchase price for refund and discussion as to why it will be difficult for me to package and return. Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid this product

Worth the buy!!
Excellent doggy home!!! Built exceptionally well and adorable, also!! Spacious enough for my medium sized dog and he loves it!! It looks perfect in the back yard! The hinged roof makes it easy to get to dog bed and toys he leaves in there as well as to clean! It was easy to assemble and the slanted roof will be great during inclement weather!!

Hopefully this will be an "Indoor Shelter" from Scary Noises!!!
I purchased this dog house to put inside my home. One of my Jack Russell Terriers (9 year old/female) is terrified of loud noises (thunder, fireworks, loud cars, etc.). After years of her scratching at the walls/doors trying to "hide" and her latest...she figured out how to open the bottom drawer of our new gas stove and she tries to hide in the drawer. We have went to great lengths to protect our walls and doors...we had to have special wall covering installed and metal liners put on our doors to keep her from damaging the walls/doors). We even had a 1/2 door installed between our kitchen and living room so she cannot get into the living room unless we are home with her. We were very worried that she would hurt herself eventually trying to find a hiding space. We didn't know what else to do so we purchased this dog house hoping that she will find it useful as a hiding spot when she is scared. We have been encouraging her to go into the house just to learn that she can go inside and lay down. So far she's not interested. Now we are just waiting for the first scary event to happen to see if she'll seek shelter in the house. I will post an update to let everyone know how the house is working out.

Looks good and easy to assemble, but runs SMALL
We have a 50 lb lab mix that we thought would fit in the large size house, but he does not. The roof is too low and the house is barely longer than he is. It was easy to assemble and looks nice, but the walls are thin so there is no way this would keep any animal warm in the winter. I would recommend for smaller dogs and get a size bigger than you think you need. I would also only use this in warmer climates, inside, or with a heater.
