The air doesn't entirely go where you need it to with this mouthpiece, and the sound is not soft enough.

The C7 is a very open, bright mouthpiece with a forward tone -- excellent for pop/rock/fusion or anytime you need a mouthpiece with a good "cut." Very comfortable in the embouchure. Nice altissimo. I find it works best with a reed on the softer side -- I'm using Rico Royal 2 or 2.5 on it. It plays much sharper than my other alto mouthpieces, so be prepared to "pull out" on the neck cork.

Pretty nice mouthpiece. I am very much in the experimental phase of my Saxophone playing, and have decided that I've had enough trying to play jazz/fusion/rock on my Selmer s90. This mouthpiece is designed to allow more air flow through the horn and construct a projected sound with more bite to it! I highly recommend using a medium strength reed (2.5). Straight to the point, very nice budget mouthpiece, and I recommend this variant for some bright, loud and crazy rock-esque jamming!

Very useful the chart.
