When searching for a photo album to present to a very special 23-year old, an album that would contain 38 photographs of him aged 4 to 7 years old, photos that he didn’t even know existed, I was intent on finding the perfect album. And this is the one I chose.Handcrafted in Bar Harbor, Maine using traditional bookmaking techniques with warp-resistant bookbinder board, it features an exquisite, rich burgundy-brown, bonded leather cover and archival quality pages with easy to fill, acid-free photo pockets. This is a first-class, quality product that I was delighted to find. I know that it will look beautiful showcased on a coffee table or bookshelf.

My grandmother keeps chronological photo albums for our family and had run short. I decided to splurge on a really nice one for Christmas and this one is lovely. It's thick, the color is vibrant and it seems to be well made. She said it was the nicest one she's ever had!

I created a scrap book with personal pictures and other momentos during the quarantine and I selected this photo album. I am very pleased with my purchase. The album is high quality and I have the ability to add additional pages if I want. It is very sturdy (I kept taking pages in and out as I rearranged stuff) and it now looks very elegant in my bookcase. I would buy another one if I ever needed another album.

Though this albums are on the pricier end, we decided to make the commitment to really organizing and preserving our photos in a long term solution. The pages are beautiful and leave a space to write, the books look great on the shelf, and the fact that they are made in Maine and have a great product warranty really sealed the deal. The treated leather smell fades with time and is to be expected. Also, so happy that we can order more pages and for different sized pictures if needed as well. Really happy with these books and will likely order more as our photo organization continues.

Very pretty, but it does not close properly, and the rings are not large enough to hold extra pages for photos larger than 4×6. So I will return and choose another album.

On one level, it's a product you can buy in a CVS aisle. On another, it holds your most valuable memories. I tend to think the latter is worth the investment in quality. It's clearly very well made.
