Carhartt Men's Rain Defender Loose Fit Heavyweight Quarter-Zip Sweatshirt

Purchased this as a Christmas present for my husband. He expressed its true to size as he is a 5’8” 195lb who wears a large. The material quality is amazing and does its job keeping you warm. The hoodie has a lining of the same material that provides coverage for the neck area for extra comfort and warmth! It is a pullover and most definitely WATER RESISTANT. So to degree does this heavy duty jacket do its job in keeping you dry before it penetrates through. My husband has said he believes there is another layer within the jacket that prevents your body from being soaked but you feel the weight of the jacket being more heavy. Overall he is a happy trucker and it’s his main go to jacket on rainy days!

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. This quarter-zip is a beautiful gray color and fits true to size. It is made of quality materials and blends style with functionality seamlessly (no pun intended). He loves that it is thick, warm, and keeps him dry. I love that it offers an elevated causal attire option over something like a traditional hoodie.

Very warm and fits true to size. Thicker quality material that is water resistant. Can withstand a hard rain for about 5-10 minutes before it starts absorbing the water. The colar/hood combo is interesting but not uncomfortable. Would not wear to a nicer event because of the hood.

It fits great and it works well in the cold weather. Material is thick and the color is exactly what I wanted. I really like the zipper. Easy and simple sweater.

Finally figured out the Carhartt sizing. I’m 5’9” and 175 pounds with a chest size of 42-43. I ordered the medium in the loose fit and it fits me perfectly. If I order the relaxed fit in size medium it’s too small. I like the elastic hem of the sweatshirt to fit just below the belt line of my pants, not half way down my butt. This is a heavy duty sweatshirt made to last. It’s my second one and I have no complaints. It makes my Maine winters a little more comfortable.

Exactly what I wanted. Heavyweight, solid half zipper. Extra mini pocket in kangaroo pouch. Good to wear on its own with no jacket. rain defender another plus. Absolutely, love how heavy it feels. A little pricey. But it feels like it will last. Great for the winter.

This sweatshirt is so thick and great quality. Item is true to size and fits loosely. It didn’t shrink after washing either.
