Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Silver, 16GB)

Bought this as my first phone in 2016, Very good phone nice battery, good camera, good display and fast internet speed it supported 4g at that time. Used for 5 years in rough and tough condition. Overall value for money.

1) Camera: Rear: 16mp camera quality is not upto the mark. Bad in lowlight and okayish in daylight. Indoor quality is average and outdoor quality is good. Front: 5mp camera, it is good and I have no complaints regarding it. Camera application is good and easy to use. It is light and pretty smooth. 2) Performance: performance is great and 2gb ram works great for this device. You can use this device for playing a vast amount of games Update:- Half of the ram is consumed by the system software and only 1 gb ram is left for use, but there is no lag so far). 3) Display is great and works fine in sunlight. Sensor is good in this device. 4) Finger print sensor works great and fast in this device. 5) MIUi is awesome and easy to use and this is the best thing about xiaomi phones. 6) Remote access in this device works good for my AC, TV(samsung and sony bravia). I wish in future remote application comes with a function for controlling dth set up boxes, but I think there is already an application by some third party for it. 7) Battery of this device is good. I have noticed a minor heating issue after using it for a while (near earpiece and front camera) NOTE:*I am currently using only one sim card on this phone and some people are complaining about the device connectivity while using 2 sim cards in this phone* If you are planning to buy this mobile then read all the reviews from the customers who have actually purchased this mobile. Plus, also keep in mind that xiaomi is still a new company in India and their after sales service is bad (past experience from mi3; problem: screen damage)... but their after sales service is improving day by day.

One handed mode on this phone is a boon for people with small palm.. Comes in three modes of 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 inches option. Even i use this mode to flaunt my note 3 and to use the giant with one hand while other is busy with coffee. This phone has decent speaker as tested by me on various songs genre, 4000mAh battery gives decent one day battery life with moderate use.. Don't expect a day battery with heavy use as the pixel density of screen is also bigggg so it absorb more juices to please your eyes, Display contrast and pixel density is too good for day usage and even in full sunlight, the sunlight display used in this phone adapts itself to give optimun display experience. It has a powerful processor to run games lag free, thanks to snapdragon 650 processor and dual channel 2gb ram which never let down the phone and runs fluidly. Internal storage is too low for me as i wished to have much more.. So if u don't have tight budget.happily go for 32gb.. White color is my favourite and was my final color choice after reading hundreds of confusing review on internet, this was because gold plastic front was looking cheap to me.. And black was not fully black in front like those with moto phones(full black fronts where u can't figure out the screen)..hence the white is the best..premium and stylish.. I justified my choice. Has a lightning fast 0.3 s fingerprint sensor.. And non technically.. I would say the fingerprint sensor is just "tap and go". Has a gyroscopic sensor too... Many people even don't know what this word can do.. I was big fan of photospheres and my primary reason to buy this phone was that it can click photospheres..this feature is just heavenly awesome.. Camera quality is something i would say is fabulous if outdoor.. But in low lighting condition.. You need to have very steady hands to take a selfie.. Which if came blur-free would be just great. Ps- day to day usage is too good on this phone and when come to performance factor.. It wouldn't let your head down..this phone is something which is too much for a decent price tag(we can't consider 10000 a low amount so i won't call it cheap)

Redmi Note 3 is without any doubt one of the best all round Android smartphones you can buy today in India online ( priced under 15K) ## Pros Huge 4050mAh Battery Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 instead of Helios X10 Fast Fingerprint Scanner Full HD Display ## Cons Still based on Android 5.1 Lollipop No Gorilla Glass protection 3GB RAM variant is quite hard to purchase during Flash Sale currently. ( Be patient and wait ) Low light Camera performance is bad. Dual Sim users : You can't use Sdcard as second slim slot is Hybrid. Some users complaining about network issues. ( see Critical reviews section here ) ## Processor : There are currently no other Android smarphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 available in India ( as of this writing ). One other smartphone with the same processor, which will be available at a later time is Sony Xperia X, but that won't be available for 10K or even 15K. Snapdragon 650 is far better than Snapdragon 615 or 616 or Mediatek Helios X10 seen in plenty of other smartphones at this price range. It doesn't have heating issues like you see on 615. You can play most HD games without any lags or issues. Multitasking is also nice. Overall a great performer. In many benchmarks, it outperformed Snapdragon 808 powered devices like Nexus 5X, Lenovo Vibe X3 etc. ## Operating System : MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It would have been nice if shipped with Android Marshmallow based MIUI like it's bigger brother Mi5 is gonna come with. Even if it came with Marshmallow, look wise there won't much drastic changes comparing to the one running on Lollipop since this is not running on Stock Android like UI. Andriod users switching from a Stock Android based UI like you see on Nexus, Motorola Phones, Android One devices etc would find it a little annoying it comes with physical capacitive buttons instead of on screen buttons..and these physical buttons are out of order. However if you are coming from an Xiaomi device, this is not at all an issue. MIUI7 is still not the fastest UI out there. It is filled with plenty of features and tweaks comparing to Stock Android. So expect it to get a little less snappier that stock android. Don't get me wrong, it's still quite fast and you wouldn't notice any long ag in day to day usage thanks to the processor and 2GB / 3GB ram. ## Camera : Overall performance of the camera is average to be honest. In good lighting conditions it takes great photos, but when in low light conditions it suffers. Still one of the best cameras you can get in a smartphone under 15K. ## Battery : 4050mAh battery. That's huge. Xiaomi has designed it in such a way that you wouldn't think there is such a big battery inside this phone. Many 4000+ mah battery phones are very heavy and bulky. Xiaomi has done a great job. The fast fast charging you seen on many devices is not supported. It does come with a fast charger but the latest Qualcomm fast charging tech is not in this phone. So it would take around 3 hours to get it fully charged. ## Display : 1080P HD display looks like any other Full HD display. Good viewing angles and sharp. About the Sunlight display Xiaomi boasts off - even though it makes a difference in brightness of the display, the clarity is not mind blowing or anything - performs similar to many other smartphones without sunlight display. And one more thing about the Display - Even though the phone is sturdy and metallic here and there, there is NO Gorilla Glass protection. There is some protective coating though. ## Verdict : If you are planning to buy this, be patient and grab 3GB RAM 32GB variant instead of 2GB one if you are a heavy user. If you don't use big apps and games often, 2GB ram model is more than enough. For Rs 9,999 - 11,999 this is without any doubt one of the best phones you can buy today in the market. Xiaomi did a great thing buy bringing Snapdragon 650 powered Redmi Note 3 instead of older Mediatek Helios X10 powered one. Would i recommend this phone over Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, Huawei Honor 5X etc? YES.

Redmi Note 3 is value for money. If budget is less than 15k, then it has to be this phone, no one can beat it in this price segment. For normal usage like browsing and moderate gaming(Badland, Alto's Adventure), it exceeds my expectations. Pros : 1. Phone looks and feels premium. 2. MIUI is awesome, I was skeptical because every one says it requires 1 gb ram but it performs extremely well like ios. 3. Screen or Display is awesome. 4. Finger print works perfectly. 5. No heating issues, it gets heated a little bit while charging. Even my ipad air 2 gets heated while charging. It is ok and is common for any metal phone. It cools down quickly. 6. It uses lollipop but it has so many features packed in to it. I can bet that even Marshmallow doesn't have all those features. 7. Go for silver version, it looks best among the three. 8. 2 GB of ram is ok, MIUI is highly optimised, it performs excellently with available ram. 9. Camera is good and Fast. I'm not a big fan of cameras in Mobile Phones. It takes decent photos. Cons : 1. If you keep using some internet application like quora or something, battery easily drains. Battery is good for normal usage. On Normal usage, Battery lasts for a day. But on weekends, when we spend entire time playing and browsing, battery only lasts for 12 hours. 2. You cannot store apps in SD card. Final Verdict : Premium look and Feel for a phone under 15K. MIUI Performs excellently. Finger print is awesome, there isn't any difference between this and Ipad Air 2. NOTE : MIUI kills apps if sent to background, it isn't poor memory management, lots of phones do this to save resources and conserve battery. You are obviously tied to MI ecosystem along with Google Ecosystem (Gallery Sync, Contact Sync etc..) . Don't expect saavn and youtube to continue playing after you send it to background.

Redmi Note 3, as a whole, is nice product. However, it has some minor issues. Please read on below: Positive 1) Display - Upto the mark, can be read in Sun light, rich in colour and contrast although should not be compared with iPhone/Galaxy range 2) Performance - is above average 3) Design - is perfect, easy to grip and beautiful to look at 4) Camera - does the job, cannot be used as sole Camera. For better images, especially at low light, you have to look elsewhere. 5) Call quality - Call quality in 3G/2G is good, however, in VoLTE (tested with JIO) is a hit/miss (please see the negative points below) 6) Software (MIUI) - runs smoothly. Negative: 1) Camera (at low light)- poor 2) VoLTE - is not stable, often it rejects the call/it cannot make the call - the sign of "VOLTE" disappears while making the call-thus can not make the call. I think this can be resolved through patch in future. Because of this glitch, I am thinking to return/replace the item as I am not sure if this is an issue for this particular set. AMAZON support may confirm with XIAOMI. 3) Speaker volume- could be louder/more clear - It gets distorted at higher volume.

Today is 3rd day for this phone with me: - Pros:- 1. Lukss ossmm...classic body..stylish gesture appears with brand and expensive one.... no doubt strokes the luks of iPhone 6 pluss.... 2. Lyt wyt... Cons:- 1.there nothing special about long lasting battery...it performs same as other phones battery backups...took 24 hours to drain battery power from 100% to 10%...though I was using it non stop for full day and nyt..and yes i didn't sleep 2. Heating is a normal issues inside phones...but red mi note 3 heats too much while charging and playing games automatically.. 3. Sim card shows as with full tower on phone...but its actually not reachable...conclusion no incoming no outgoing...thank u mi seriously watta phone. 4. Even normal games faces difficuly while running. Wat the hell 5. 16 megapixel cameraaaa hahahahaha wattaa joke....buy any Samsung one which gives u 2 megapixels that will give much more clarity than this one. 6. Either 2 sim can be inserted I,e one micro sim and one nano sim....or u can insert one micro sim and one memory card... I last I can say only one thing I need my refund plz do it as soon as possible

Redmi Note 3 16/2 GB Pros -Great Build Quality(Well It can survive some Drop tests too) -A fantastic Display with Vibrant colours(yes we can compare it with some Amoled panels to Some extend) -Camera Was Just Superb Even in Different lighting Conditions (Am Impressed) Front Cam Was Also Good Better than Mi 4 8 MP shooter "but No Wide angle") -The Speaker Was quite Loud(You will Get Good Multimedia experience with The great Display and Speaker compo even without headset) -Lightning fast Fingerprint Scanner(Yurekkaaa Finally my dream Come True "The next Level Security") -IR blaster (i Didn't Checked it yet But its Working Great even with third party apps"According to Geekyranjith") -A Great Battery With Fast Charging(yes The charging is fast "my redmi 1s And Note 3 took Almost same Time To Full Charge 2000 VS 4000 :D) -The Free ram will never reached Under 500 Mb even Am running More than 10 Apps( But sadly ram management was not impressive but it reloads In a quick thank to the Brand new snapdragon 650) -Yes The SOC :D its Blazing Fast apps opens quickly web page Loads faster i tested antutu 4 time Continusly igot 69+ 65+ 70+ respectivly with out any any overheating -Adreno 510 GPU is far better than Adreno 330(used in one plus one Galaxy s5 etc) in my old Adreno 330 device Gta Sa game play was not smooth at high graphics but here with Adreno 510 I can Play Gta Sa without any Frame Drops(i will test it with more Games Soon) -On Gaming or Benchmarking the Device I Didnt feel Any Heating Issues Cons -Yes The Device Gets Little Warm On Charging(its usual in Fast Charging "No Worries") -I Notice Some Accelerometer sensor issue (it Can solve with A calibration "No worries") -You may Notice Some Choppiness On some Games Like Nova 3 Its Due To the Compatibility issue Because The GPU is Brand New It will Solve Soon "No Worries" -Ram Management Is Not Good I can just Multitask 4 to 5 Apps only ( but still The Available Ram is More Than 700 MB+ its A software Issue can solve soon "No Worries") So overall in my 24hrs of usage am impressed a lot it Not just a beast its something more :D
