CUBOT J5 SMARTPHONE (BLACK 1, p20)

I have been pleased with this Cubot phone so far. The item came packaged well and feels built to last. This is further emphasised by the 1 year warranty provided with the product.I purchased this smartphone for my older brother who desperately needed an upgrade but wasn't willing to pay the prices the big brands advertise. Ignoring the brand name, this phone delivered all that he required from the phone.The first thing you notice is how attractive the phone looks. It is well designed and does stand out, especially with its 6.18 inch FHD screen. Watching videos or movies is made for this phone. Especially as the volume on the phone can go quite loud. I also liked the fact you get a case and screen protector with the phone, which means two less purchases to worry about.Performance wise so far my brother has been happy and has had no complaints. He said the battery has easily lasted him a day but I guess it depends on your usage. He was also impressed the the phone is capable of connecting to 5 GHz WIFI network as well as the 2.4 GHz, which means it has a modern WIFI module.The 64GB memory, with the ability to expand to 128GB, appealed to him as he finds it an annoyance having to delete pictures or videos to create memory space. The dual sim functionality is appealing as it allows you to take your phone abroad and use both your own and local sim cards. This reduces the need to take an extra phone and you can continue to use your main phone for photos, videos etc.If I was to pick a flaw, it would have been nice to have wireless charging on this phone. The fingerprint sensor is a nice feature but wireless charging would help it compete more with premium brands. I was also a bit disappointed to find no headphones were included with the purchase. All phone manufacturer's provide them now so I would expect the same for Cubot.Time will tell how good this smartphone is, but for the time being I am pleased with this purchase.

Here's the truth. Why spend a fortune on big branded phones when you can have a phone that looks and performs the same if not better than all of the other mid-high range Android phones I have ever owned.I was cautious when it arrived but honestly it is packaged like you have paid hundreds, all sealed and neat with no faff, the feel is expensive.Take off the back to find 2x sim inserts and sd reader, peel the seal from the battery and your running. The feel is a little heavy than I'm used to but it's not anything to whittle about, there is a handy protector case that is supplied with the handset as well.Operating Android as I'm used to so there was no need to adjust the way I use the phone. With Google set up and logged in its just like all the other big guys. There is no lag, no waiting to load, all my apps and social media work well as they should. The camera performs like a usual mid ranged android and isn't anything to get excited about nor worried about. Battery life is great, easily a full day on one charge.Basically, don't go spending hundreds, when you can do it better with this and for less than the excess on your phone insurance.

Camera quality and battery is so much better than my previous phone, it looks like a high end phone. Only fault so far is it frequently says I'm pulling down the top menu and then the screen won't respond, I have to lock and unlock the phone, it does this 10-20 times a day, if I could solve this I'd be very pleased with the phoneLess than 4 months in the phone now does this more than 50 times a day, even more when it gets below 25% and is pretty much impossible to use when charging

Great value smartphone for the money. Does everything an iPhone or Samsung phone cam do. Good size. Clear screen decent camera. Only bad point speakers could be louder.After 6 months the phone becasme sluggish and very erratic. After trying to fix had to return the phone.

After receiving this device everything seemed ok untill I find the second camera is fake I covered over said camera and no difference in picture quality or any visual differences in all tests. Another thing is that it only supports 3g in Mobile network settings.After further inspection my device claims that it only has a 13mp camera and a 8mp front camera completely different from what is advertised. After waiting over 2 businesses days without a response from either the seller and manufacture I had no choice but to file a refund.

When I open the box, the first thing I'll see is the P20's glossy glass back with a matte black finish underneath. A glass-like finish to the back of the chassis seems to be the trend for 2018 smartphones, the matte black colour of the device I received makes it far more palatable. The spontaneous light shows you get courtesy of that glass finish also look much better when contrasted with the dark black underneath. The good price than Samsung, I very love it. So I could recommend it!

Honestly the best for this price!!! I am amazed! some people thought was iphone xs max when had the cover on, can t believe how incredible colours it has and how is easy to use. The camera obviously don t reach top level phones, especially in the dark, but during the day with HDR on I took very beautiful shots, rich of details and very good light.. Would definitely recommend !

This was a huge decision to swap from big name manufacturers but I'm so glad I did. This phone is way above my expectations, with the same features, memory space, speed as its pricey counterparts. Simply cannot fault it.
