CPFilms Inc 24" x 9 ft. Clear UV Blocking Window Film

24 X 9 ft. Clear Fade Control UV Blocking Window Film was bought to cover my ford caravan window glasses. It worked well and looks good. When I drive in the sun, it keeps the bright sunlight out and make me feel comfortable. Easy to install and instruction was clear too.

I actually didn't have a lot of trouble installing it by myself. It does block a significant amount of UV. I have some UV sensitive sunglasses and did some tests, to see how dark the glasses got when exposed to UV.Regular glass (pre-install) let in 10 out of 10 UV. Post-install let in 3 out of 10 UV. For comparison, my large low-E windows next to it (the ones with green tint) let in about 1 out of 10 UV.Con:The film has a lot of tiny light waves in the plastic. This means that if you're viewing objects outside from around 10+ feet away and move your head slightly, you will see everything outside shimmer and dance. Weighing the UV protection on my rugs and hardwoods vs the shimmer, it's tolerable.

The film came on one long roll. I had to cover 6 ten foot doors. Worked out very well. High quality. Not too difficult to apply. Was definitely a two man job for doors this big.

I ordered this for a small arched window that gets direct morning light through it. I have installed window film for many years, and I know what quality film feels like. This stuff is horrible! Not only is it twice as thick as it should be (thickness does not denote quality),but it was hard to cut. I now need to remove this stuff and bite the bullet and buy the good kind. I should have known better. I do not recommend this window film to anyone.

the company is great, my first shipment got lost and they kindly shipped me another free of charge. I had purchased the item because i have a pop out window i use for growing herbs in. I had hoped with the film that during the harsh summer months of Arizona that my poor plant leaves wouldn't get burnt... sadly, this was not the case. its a nice idea to keep out the harmful UV rays but im just not sure this film does much of anything considering the death of my plants.

I lived in the desert for 60 years and never had photos fade. Living ten miles from the Pacific Ocean must be the reason that I'm experiencing this phenomenon. This product is perfect for my picture glass. I hope!

I put it on the side windows of my truck, now my arm does not get burned.

I bough it for driver side window shield to reduce UV induced skin cancer.The fluorescent strip on US $20 bill and that on RMB 100 bill are used as UV detectors.The film does not block the longer wave UV(pet urine detective flashlight) at all. This explains why it looks so clear.However it block more than 95% shorter wave UV(CVS sanitizing wand) For skin cancer and cataract prevention this is good film. The seller never answer my e-mail question. So it is 4 star.
