A pretty good pad/bed for my cat to chill on. He seems to like it as he uses it pretty regularly. Its got a thermal blanket in there which allows the pad to reflect heat back to the cat which gives it a nice little self heating effect. This is something that I was looking for as my cat like to be warm. This beds self heating effect means he no longer sits on top of my PC tower which is nice. The thermal blanket inside the bed does have a slight crinkle when my cat walks on it or adjusts him self on it but that is to be expected with there being a thermal blanket inside. One thing to note is the crinkle might surprise your pet if they're not used to it. Also the bed is slightly on the thinner side but that has not bothered my cat. So far the bed appears to be durable as it hasn't fallen apart yet and is as plush as the day I got it. Also for me it was the perfect size for placing on my desk so my cat can chill next to me while I am using my PC. I'd say for the price its worth a try!

We have an 15 year old outdoor cat who has arthritis. Was have been providing him with a heated pad in his cat house during the winter. The cover was wearing off, and in shopping for a replacement I discovered these self warming mats. We still have the heated pad (which we replaced) for his cat house and plug it in on cold nights. After reading reviews of others saying this mat has helped their cat with arthritis, I purchased one and placed on outdoor sleeping place on the porch. Except for occasionally sunning himself on the warn side walk, the mat is the only place he lays down. He no longer sleeps in his cat house unless it's a really cold night. For over a year he's been limping as he walks, after using this pad his limping has almost disappeared. The weather has warmed, but he had a strong limp last summer. I truly believe that this self warming mat has help his pain and lessened his limp. We will be purchasing another for his cat house.

Mainly got this for my senior cat to lay on when in the sun, but all the cats like napping on this, even during the summertime. Good price for the size, easy to clean, and lays flat without curling or bunching. Durable with multiple cats, looks like your normal mat, but is not cheaply made.

With warm weather came the usual packing up of the heated blanket that the suckers, I mean my wife and I, keep on the couch for our spoiled housecats. The itty bitty white kitty, affectionately known as Itty, is perpetually cold no matter what time of year it is, so I set out on a quest to find him something that would help when his favorite binkie (the one that makes its own warmth, like some miracle or something) was in storage.I struck out at both of the pet stores near the house (probably because I went looking for a winter product in springtime) so, when I went back home and broke the bad news to Itty, he demanded that I continue looking. Okay. So actually, he just sat there on the non-warming, plain, inferior blanket on "his" section of the couch, affecting a dramatic shiver and occasionally making his teeth chatter.A few days later, Amazon came through for me with this self-warming, fuzzy blanket that's just big enough to fit the middle section of our couch. I mean, Itty's couch.The shivering, white kitty sprang into action, claiming the new binkie as his own even as he continued sniffing it to determine if he were going to like it or puke on it. Or yes. (Sometimes, he vomits on the things he likes. Such as my bed.)This is a soft, fuzzy blanket that all three of our cats lie on for hours at a time. Not all at the same time, though. This blanket isn't quite big enough for that. Besides, they're cats. They don't all get into a big, cute cuddle puddle even when I try to bribe them with food. However, two kitties who are feeling benevolent can comfortably fit on, and snuggle up to each other while using, this blanket.There's a loop on one end for storage, or hanging to dry, as you aren't supposed to just toss this thing into the dryer. This is only a minor inconvenience in our house, as we already hang or lay out some other stuff to air dry; adding one more, small-ish piece of laundry to that isn't the biggest deal. Your mileage may vary, so it's good to know these things before you buy.Inside, there's basically a piece of that silver emergency blanket you may have tucked into your car's trunk for winter weather. (You are prepared for that, right?) So, after one of our cats has been on the blanket a few minutes or so, his/her own body heat is reflected. Warm kitties! No power required! And this was a cheap blanket, so we can replace it every couple-few years without losing our shirts!Actually, I purchased this more than a year ago; during cold months, it got washed and packed up so that Heated Blanket, Itty's favorite, could reappear. He was, again, sad to see that blanket's departure, but welcomed this self-heating alternative with a sniff and a prompt lie down right in the middle.This would be a five-star purchase but, because the fuzzy material is a bit thin, and because this is not the most-luxurious blanket of its type on the market, I can't pretend that it's top of the line. However, for the price, this is a solid deal that I'll buy again. Assuming that the cats don't find this review, learn that I did not spend all of my hard-earned money to buy them The Best Blanket in the Universe, and leave their hairballs in my shoes while I'm asleep.Also, the dark-brown color is a good choice. It hides the most cat hair.

My cat is obsessed with this. It lives on top of her cat tower and it's the perfect bed for her. I originally bought it because I keep my place pretty cool in the winter and wanted to make sure she stayed warm. She's loves it and uses it year round!

Gabe, feline is on the large mat which he fits on with little room remaining, but is the right size for him. He is 24" long and 16 1/2 " tall and loves to stretch out. I am glad that I got the large size as the vet said he is not fully grown yet! He has medical issues as he was found feral at 580 grams without a mama. His body temp won't regulate so he lays on his mat now when he is feeling cold, best of all I now know when he is cold! It's not thick enough when on the floor alone, not for my spoiled one, but he's been a blanket baby his whole life with me so far. It feels quite sturdy and it really works!! I had to lay on it to get my scent on it before he would lay on it and I found it comfortable and soft. Best of all It really works!! I got 2, so he has one in the 2 rooms that he sleeps in the most. He's asleep on his bed, which is next to mine in the photo. I have only had them 5 days now, so I can say they feel and appear to be made with long term usage in mind. I have not washed them so I don't know how they hold up in washer/dryer.The order was placed on July 13, shipped and received on July 17, a day late. They were both shipped all crunched up, each in a separate small bag which they barely fit in ( bag was taped all the way around each bag and then thrown in and shipped in a box that really allowed them to lay flat and not get scrunched up. ( I still don't get why they bagged them like that when they could have just laid them in the box. I could fit in the box they shipped them in. BUT I was able to flatten them and smooth them out. This was done by who packed them.

We have had this mat for 6 months and it quickly became a favorite for one of our cats. She's a great cat so if she's happy, we're happy. We used it to place on a wood platform attached to an interior cat tree. We can find her there most any time of day.

Unfortunately my tom didn't like this 'self warming' cat mat. The mat had a soft surface and was of good size. BUT the mylar sheet sandwiched between front and back covers produced a crinkling sound that put off my cat's curiosity.One of those impulse purchases that I Just Knew wouldn't work out.But there you have it.I gave it away, tags still on, to another cat family. May it find a home.

My cat is loving this in the winter

Great product at a good price point. We have now purchased a second one. So glad to have found something that keeps them cozy & warm without the need of batteries or electricity for safety. Their own body heat circulates back to them within minutes AND keeps my furniture fur-free! He knows it’s his and where to sit in the couch. Only suggestion would be to make it more cushioned but overall a fantastic product that’s become essential in our home.

I bought this product because one of my kitties is older and I thought she'd find it soothing. It took her a day or so to discover it, but now she loves sleeping on it. Haven't washed it yet, but the label says it's washable by hand or on delicate.

My old maine coon loves his new bed. He is approx 8k and small is a perfect size with plenty room to spare.
