Works great, just be sure to follow instructions. Change water each day. It's only three times.I'll ask this question in another place if there is one.It grew my mung beans tall and delicious but thinner than store bought.Is there anything I can do to get them to grow thicker?

First two times, it didn't work well because the bean sprouts turned purple/pinkish even with the gray cover on (that came with the purchase). After I put a dark color bath towel wrapped around it with no chance of light to get in, it works great! I have a little advice for the buyers. (1) I soaked mung bean seeds at least 24 hours, so between 24 -48 with warm water. (2) I selected "winter" option (bean sprouts will be ready 15 hours early, about 3 days total). Temperature inside my house is 66 F. (3) I only changed water once a day. Total 3 times including the initial water at the starting of the sprout. So, after the initial water, I changed the water 2 times then it was ready to eat. It was delicious, long, white and sweet.For those who does care about organic seeds, but mung bean seeds from Asian market for $1.79 for a package. It used to be only $99. One package, you can get 6-8 batches.

I grow tons of sprouts with this inexpensive electronic sprouter!!! I use only 1 tray in my sprouter because harvests are more consistent with uniform growth. Through trial and error I was able to fine tune my protocol to avoid issues like mould. I also modified the exterior of the bowl by applying electric tape on the outside to prevent light intrusion permanently.........no more struggling with that damn shower cap thingy!!! I also have a plant lamp which I use for 2 days prior to harvest and I use distilled water exclusively during the entire growth cycle along with a post-harvest ozone bath.........this dramatically reduces mould issues.

This product of an instance where automation and electronic settings produce an inferior process to simply rinsing a jar with a mesh lid and holding it upside down.You’ll get a large % of seeds simply not germinating and going to waste compared to the jar method. The ones that do germinate do so very unevenly from tray to tray. And when you’re done with the batch and it’s time to clean the trays, little seeds both sprouted and not will be stuck in the little gaps of the trays and it’s such a pain to pull them out that it obviates any gains in time and convenience form the jar method — real or imagined. Yes I changed the water religiously on this thing so that’s not why the seeds didn’t sprout so well. And I tried various ones: broccoli, king bean, alfalfa.It’s clunky, hogs up valuable counter space, doesn’t work well at all, and is a pain to clean. My guess is whoever gave it high stars never tried the simple no nonsense way of sprouting seeds in jars.Honestly this product is a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.

This is absolutely what I want to. Good quality and easy to use. It takes me 3 days to grow bean sprouts.

Placed order on March 15, 21. Received order March 20, 21. June 2, 21, Bean Sprout Machine quit working. When it worked it did fine growing the soy bean sprouts but didn't stay operational long enough. Failed just after return policy expired.
