Works great to tighten clothesline.
This works awesome to tighten my clothesline and isn’t huge. Nice sturdy quality and easy to use.

Excellent Rope Ratchet see store site for complete with rope and hooks
I didn't know it when I bought 2 of these from Amazon that these where the exact one's I wanted. I have a set of 2 that I've bought about 20 years ago when I was still working as a auto tech. They are still working light brand new. Working on a project that I needed 2 extra. These are great. I was upset with myself that I didn't read that these didn't come with the hook and rope. no problem I forgave myself. I have 1/4 poly rope on a reel so I'm able to make use of then. I looked on the store site and they offer complete so I ordered 2 more complete with rope and hook. I can always use the extra. I didn't return because I didn't read everything my bad. This is a very good product that will last for many years. Thank you very much.

Good Holding Power
Good holding power. I bought this 1/4" ratchet to replace a similar broken ratchet on my boat cover. Super-easy replacement and the ratchet is audible and solid. Release lever is easy to operate and protected to prevent 'unintentional releases.' I will definentaly buy this ratchet again if my other ratchet breaks.

Works well but take note for braided rope
It works well, but take note if you use braided 1/4” rope, it can be a little difficult to thread the leading edge through it. I find that the rope exit point is slightly tighter than the entry point. I use these for a shade sail to keep the lines taut, any knot you tie will always begin to slip with windy conditions.

My number one choice for ratchets
I use these for my canvas business. I make boat covers and these ratchets are the only ones I use. Ahhh the satisfaction of that ticking noise as you pull the rope through!

Every person who is challenged when it comes to tying effective and releasable knots should have these. To be REALLY effective, combine them with 1/4" yacht rope.
