Brilliant, intuitive cutting machine - great for beginners
The Cricut Explore Air 2 is a great cutting machine. Right out of the box, it's easy to understand and quick to get started. I've had no trouble cutting highly detailed designs on various materials, and it's easy to transfer designs from Adobe Illustrator to the Cricut Design Space software.

very happy
I am a new to crafting, I want to make all types of logos for my small business (shirts, cards, stickers and so on) . This machine look good and is not very noisy.Since I am a moderate user with photoshop I already had my own designs and it was easy to upload my work. I have used Heat Transfer Vinyl and it did the job perfectly.Update after few months. Still happy with the product the frustrating thing is aligning my own designs with the cricut. There is a learning curve to it as with everything. If you are a creative person wanting to do crafting then I do recommend it but you will need to spend many hours until you get the basics. It is funI will update this message as I gain more experiene

Amazing ray of sunshine !
I bought the Cricut after my Silouette Cameo 3 broke.I found the cricut easier to use , it is more accurate for print and cut and I just love the colour.

Be prepared to invest more money and a lot of time to get it to do what you want.
I run a small sticker business and to sum this machine up... It's problematic. It's wasteful because it doesn't come close to reaching the edge of an A4 sheet when printing stickers. It's not straight forward in any way. You can freshly calibrate it and still get wonky cuts. The software is a nightmare, it goes down all the time making it impossible to use at times and then others it's fine, I think it depends on how busy their servers are. And sometimes you don't find that out until you try to save something you've a spent ages on only to find it won't save. It's finicky as heck and you have to spend a long time learning ways around things. The expensive blades and mats need replacing often for best results. But worst of all... They're about to start charging you to use it, in order to upload more than 20 of your own designs to work with each month you will have to pay their money grabbing monthly fee.I wish I'd bought the silhouette.

Needs patience to learn what can be done.
A fantastic machine which I hope to learn to use to create lots of things. You need a lot of patience with this machine.

Was umming and ahhing whether to buy...
It took me a while to overcome the investment of this cutter. Can I say...Worth every penny. Does more than what I expected. Love the pen feature and bluetooth is a bonus. Creates lovely designs.

Not quite as versatile or easy to use as it should be
First off... when you read the other reviews and the reviewer mentions the software isn't very good: Believe them. It's dreadful in many ways and you need several Big Brain moments to really understand what is going on. I've even watched a good few popular YouTube videos where the person in the video is confidently incorrect in their use of Cricut Design Studio. Results certainly vary and you're going to either need to spend some hours of experiment and trial & error to hone your workflow, settings and technique to get good results or... or you can just put up with mediocre results and an excess of wasted material. This machine loses 2 'value of money' starts by locking you in to using Cricut Design Studio. No other software works (except maybe some old versions of a standalone piece of software that costs more than it's worth).Still... it looks nice and if you do spend the time to learn all the idiosyncrasies, you can get some professional results.
