I was asked to review this item in return for the free product.The package came in a small box containing 3 parts, 1 long screw, and 1 hex key which you use to assemble, no other tools needed. Sturdy construction with a strong base that can easily hold up the weight of larger phones (Note 8/Pixel 2 XL) and even tablets (tested with iPad Pro 9.7). The neck/holder has hinge to adjust for different view angles and there is a notch for charging. It holds the device about 4 inches from the base of the stand.Installation Tips: Line up the standing pipe with the base and neck, there's a notch inside so it'll just go in smoothly, no force required. The hex key is small so be gentle or you'll strip the key during assembly.

The body is a light aluminum which has a classy matte feel, and the stand is at the perfect height for viewing on a desk or table. The angle of the stand is adjustable, and even at the most vertical angle, it holds my phone with no risk of falling in either a horizontal or vertical position. The gap in the bottom ledge for a phone charger is very welcome as well. The bottom of the base is a rough plastic (I wouldn't go all the way as to think that it's rubberized), but it provides enough friction for most normal uses.The major downside of the stand is its assembly. Other reviews claim that the pieces are assembled in a certain orientation, but this was not made clear in the instructions at all, so I cannot confirm that this is true. I ended up needing to hammer the pieces together, which really wasn't a bad experience, as it made the stand feel extra sturdy, but it was not what I was expecting to do upon opening the box. Nonetheless, hammering still worked, and I have an intact stand now, so it was far from an insurmountable obstacle.

Surprisingly good product, but a couple more for family works with phone and covers really well feet stable. Ended up putting little silicone buttons/feet on it for added “stickiness” , but not required, I just had extra. iPad with cover failed to fit at all and ended up being too cumbersome to use, bummer as that ‘a the reason for purchase, but out of case works perfectly and stand really stable so only mildly worried about iPad falling and damaging. If you have a big case for your intended device, beware may not fit as well, but still really good stand especially if have a thin or no case. Highly recommend. 4 star only because of the case issue., but really can’t fault them that much for it- would be a nightmare for them to try to accommodate all cases etc., but my iPad car is not that thick... just the flap interferes too much and this was a pretty popular case.Oh well, as did. This come in a box to put together, very easy steps to follow. Round base is heavy enough to support either phone or tablet. I love this little stand, the base part got this rubber piece that it will hold your phone or tablet in place. Also the base is adjustable for some angles. Is worth for the money really. You can charge your phone or tablet while is on the stand as well. I would like a little more rubber feet to have the same lever of fraction as the plate that hold up de table but still this is a great product. Very happy with it.

*updated after two months of use* I would absolutely recommend this stand to anyone who wants an excellent, well-balanced (stable) cell phone stand that will work day-in and day-out which also has a stylish look to it.The great: this stand is simply excellent for cell phones. I have been using this stand for two months and I can say it really solved my needs and exceeded my expectations. Upon unboxing, I was impressed at the quality of the materials – the weight to the base of the stand and the stand’s slight anti-slip finish on the bottom was ideal to ensure a cell phone would be supported and not “tipsy”. The stem portion was molded accurately and included a center-drilled hole which allows the included screw to connect the base…through the stem…to the top phone cradle. The stem did not have any burrs or obstructions, the stem mounted perfectly flat (very stable) and the screw went through the stem without any obstruction (quality molded part). The cradle (phone holder) was at a great height could be angle-adjusted a little bit as needed. After two months worth of use the stand remains tightly assembled, there is *NO* “looseness” between the base, stem, and cradle (phone holder).The plus: co-workers have commented on the stylish aspect of the holder and have asked where they can buy one. While I am more of a functional type guy, it’s nice to know other people see it as stylish as well.Note, I am not using or evaluating this stand for tablets – just cell phone use.

This is the perfect little stand for elevating cell phones so as not to strain neck or have to keep picking phone up from horizontal on the counter. I have another stand by this company with a swivel and larger base. Also helpful but I prefer this one as it raises the height. I primarily use this in the kitchen so that I can easily see recipes or beside my laptop when I'm working. It is very sturdy. Feels quite solid and nice sleek look. I have an iPhone Xr and it just fits the width when phone is in vertical position. However, if your phone is larger I think it would still be fine as the bottom grips are sturdy and will hold it in place. But if having raised height is not a criteria for you and your phone is larger you may wish to look at their other product as it can accommodate any size phone or tablets too. Stand also tilts to adjust angle which is great! It's a simple assembly although not completely intuitive. I had a little trouble getting the screw tightened enough but other than that no complaints. Glad to have this.
