The Holy Qur'an: Transliteration in Roman Script and English Translation with Arabic Text

It has been said that "the ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr". It has also been said that the word "understanding" is quite literally "standing under" in submission. Verse 17:54 says that they have made it easy to understand the Qur'an, yet asks if any will remember it? This 2022 hardbound reprint of the original 1971 edition, including Pickthall's "Meaning of the Qur'an", appears to do good service to the cause of repeating another voice crying in the wilderness of this world, with the implied hope that it will not fall entirely upon deaf ears.

It's beautiful. Does have a few dents because of shipping overseas but it's made really well. Just in time for my surgery. Mashallah.

I purchased this Quran as a gift for a friend. It is very nice. Good quality.My friend is very happy with her book.

Slight indentation/bending on the cover, probably from shipping. However, I am still happy with the product. This Qur'an was published by a company in India, so it was probably due to the initial shipping from India to Amazon in the US, as Amazon's shipping to me included nice bubble-wrapping. The book itself came wrapped in sealed plastic.As for the book's contents, the Pickthall translation is in a more archaic style (a lot of thee's and thou's), kind of like the KJV Bible. It isn't my preferred English translation, but I wanted one with English transliteration as well. It was either Yusuf Ali or Pickthall, so I chose the latter. As far as clarity and accuracy, I prefer "The Clear Qur'an" by Mustafa Khattab.As a non-muslim studying islam and religions in general, this is a great reference.

The people complaining it’s backwards that’s because Arabic is written backwards and Quran is In Arabic. You need to understand the fundamentals of Islam and commentary to explain what exactly is this verse talking about. I am a Muslim and owned many Qurans in my life and went to Arabic school because academic or university. This book is great for Muslims that can’t read Arabic. As for non Muslims that are trying to give every faith the benefit of the doubt, this will leave you with many questions, try the Hadith and Quran commentary app. Or Muslims YouTube channels like “merciful servant” “lovuallah” “theprophetspath” etc. or even mufti menk it nouman Ali khan or yasir khadir.these are American Muslim scholars that will explain Islam in terms of American culture so this will help.

I liked how it came with the accurate Roman translation because I am Arab but I don’t know how to read Arabic so this was really helpful

Pickthall is a very nice and accurate Qur’an translation but the book itself is massive and not the best for travelling—would definitely recommend to have at home!
