Skil 5080-01 13-Amp 7-1/4" Circular Saw, Red

This is a (relatively) inexpensive circular saw. It has enough power, but lacks the laser guide of the next model up. No matter. I don't use it all the time. The cord is a bit irritating at times, but it wasn't worth the much higher price for the battery model since I would have had to buy batteries too. It gets the job done and is all I need. Seems well made.

My old circular saw died in the middle of a project I was working on, using 1x2x8(s). In a panic, I quickly purchased this one and elected expedited delivery. It arrived quickly, and boy, was I impressed with it for the price point. It melted right through the boards quickly and cleanly. The guides made it super easy to use, and the fact that it is corded made me all the happier, as I hate managing batteries. Overall, it has a rather durable feeling (made of decent materials), but it is a bit heavier than my last one; It's not unmanageable though (I'm a lady, so weight matters to me lol); however, it performed far better, it just took me a few seconds to get acclimated to it. Overall, this circular saw is a good bang for the buck, and I do not regret this purchase.

Bought this a few days ago & got to use it for a few days. I'm very impressed. I needed a circular saw a few weeks ago & borrowed a battery one. While very convenient, it definitely didn't have enough power & kept getting jammed & I thought I might be doing something wrong with it. Bought myself this Skil 13A, 1800W, 7.25" circular saw & I'm very happy with it. The same wood the other saw kept getting stuck on, this one cut within seconds without any jams or kickbacks. I've used a circular saw maybe twice in my life but this saw is very easy to use even for beginners like me. I had some very heavy solid wooden chairs that I stupidly left outside over the winter & got weather damaged. I couldn't just put them out to the trash & used the circular saw to cut the wood legs & back off. I was able to cut each chair to pieces in under a minute with ease. My only complain if you wanna call it that is that the sawdust flew all over my shoes with prejudice. Maybe I need to position myself differently when cutting or something but I'm still extremely happy with this purchase.

Great saw, great cost, and easy to use.

Works really good. At first a had an issue lining it up with the guide, but it was a set up issue on my part. I would suggest getting more blades for different projects depending on your needs. The one that come with it it’s good, but not really ideal for most woodcuts. Very stable nonetheless. Come with the blade tool for easy blade replacement.

I’ve used this saw more than I anticipated and I’ve not been disappointed! It’s a great little workhorse and well worth its low price!

So far, it operates very smoothly. I’m a big guy so it’s light weight in my hand. Perfect size for me very comfortable to use.

Usé el producto en melamina y corta muy bien, tiene mucha potencia y en mi caso se fue recto el corte (es la primera vez que uso una sierra circular) busqué unos tutoriales de seguridad y de uso en youtube y me animé a usarla. Corté unos cortes largos a 45° y otros rectos y me pareció increíble para el precio que la compré 630 pesos en promoción. En general se siente de buena calidad, no puedo comparar con ninguna otra porque es mi primera sierra pero me llevo una buena experiencia, solo recuerden siempre usar lentes protectores y unos guantes de carnaza nunca están de más para evitar accidentes
