If you need a tool to help put your icicle lights up then this is your new best friend. I’ve been putting up icicle lights on a two story house since 2017. I wished I had this back then but it is so easy to use and the clips are fantastic. The two end pieces that can be switched out are both easy to attach and remove. Attaching the roof clips onto the product are so easy but what I was shocked the most on was how simple it was attaching the clips to the roof would be. There was only one peak on the house that I couldn’t reach but that’s not the products fault. I would highly recommend this for anyone. I would suggest if you are using a lot of lights for the roof and not gutters, get the extra clips. If I could give this product a 10 star rating I would.

Bought product to remove lights from roof and gutters since I didn’t want to deal with my 20 ft extension ladder. I decided to give this product a try and wasn’t disappointed. The retractable claw made it very easy to grab the plastic clips and take them off the gutter and roof. Saved me a lot of time from having to pull out the ladder, extend it, move it to a spot then climb up and down. Definitely a much safer way to take lights down. Highly recommend it.

This is my second purchase in 3 years. The first one had the interior wire/spring fail after 2 years so I purchased another one hoping that it has been redesigned. It looks like it has. This one has a fixed clamper/claw at the end. The previous model had an interchangeable claw which was nice but perhaps why it failed prematurely last time. The reason I bought it a 2nd time was because there is nothing else like it in the market and it saves me so much time putting up and taking down my lights including making it so much safer to do so. My only recommendation would be to bring back the interchangeable claw. That was a neat feature to have.

The pole is very sturdy and extends to 11 feet. I use the trigger-operated clamp/gripper mechanism to hang hooks on my gutters and it works perfectly (I'm not a big fan of the white nylon hooks, but this item came with 50 of them and they look sturdy). I use the "White Christmas Hook" (white-coated metal wire) available on Amazon because it is easily moldable to my needs and pure white. They work perfectly with this good, sturdy, hook-mounting pole.

I didn’t have a tall enough ladder to reach my gutters to hang Christmas lights. This allowed me to hand my lights in about 15 minutes. Easy to use, saved me a ton of time and money hiring someone or buying a bigger ladder. The clips are flimsy, and I broke one. But they give you lots, so I had enough. It’s a bit hard to get the lights on with no slack between the clips and they started to sag a bit. That was my first time using it, so next time I’ll make sure the light is flush with the clips so they can’t move.

11' is 1 story, No way i can get to the second story. Attaching to shingles is hopeless, the angle is all wrong, they need a 45deg adapter! It worked pretty well on the first floor gutters and helped remove my halloween lights, but i still had to get on the ladder for the second floor.

I spent hours this morning, attempting to put up our Christmas lights with this pole. I followed the instructions and watched the videos and no matter what I did the clips kept popping off our gutters. Plus the clamp at the end of the pole that holds the clips kept unscrewing and coming off the pole.When I was finally able to get one string of lights up, the weight of the lights must’ve been too much for the clips and they popped out and fell. These were plastic LED lights. Not happy with this, it’s going back.
