I freaking love these lights.
The media could not be loaded. I bought a couple of these for my Christmas Light show. I have a couple of Walmart decorations I wanted to convert to play in my light show. I used a nodemcu, a power supply, a breadboard, these LEDs, and some wire and wow these look amazing. I will upload a video of the lights so you can see for yourself. I bought green wired ones because the original wire was green for the lights in it before. Anyways, I was recommended this brand by The Hook Up on YouTube and so far, everything I have purchased from them has been excellent. I had one issue with one of these sets and they were quick to replace it. One light was discolored and they sent me a new set and were very quick about it. Quality products and good customer service always makes me want to write a good review plus I love showing off the lamp I built. $25 at Walmart and maybe $20 worth of parts later makes the lamp. Absolutely amazing. My wife loved it so much she demanded I build another one, so I bought another set.

Good product, if you wire it right
I've had these sitting around for a bit and finally wired them up to test them out. I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't light up with my ESP8266 running WLED. Turns out, as some other reviewers stated, the power wires are reversed compared to some of the other connectors I had that fit these light strands. Once I switched them around, it worked fine. (Though, I did burn out the first LED, it appears...) I'm not sure I can fault the manufacturer for that, though, as the striped negative wire is clearly marked and is correct. I shouldn't have assumed polarity.Overall, I'm pretty happy with these. They're sealed, so they'll have a home on the little pine tree on our porch for the winter.

Black 5 Volt And Green 12 Volt Review
There was/is no identification for the power injection wires at either end of the string. Also no identification for the wires of the included connection stub. Those however were Red, Green, and White. To power/test the string I made the assumption that Red was plus, White minus, and checked continuity to determine polarity of the power injection wires. The string otherwise is good, all nodes light nicely, a bit smelly but that should 'age' out over time. I dropped a star because of the lack of wire connection identification. Only other comment is, BTF Lighting does not seem to sell on Amazon multiple strings as a set at significant cost savings. There is another Amazon vendor that has a similar product where one can purchase a single string or set of 10 strings where the cost per string in the set of 10 decreases quite a bit.Update April 2020: I purchased a 12 Volt green string early April. The minus wire has an inked - symbol along its length for identification. Like the black string, it too has an odor to it (the odor of the black string has since dissipated). The nodes in the 12 Volt string are of a resistor type which is not bad as such but was not what I was expecting. There exists a type which uses a regulator to drop the 12 Volt to the WS2811 IC's 5 Volt requirement. BTF Lighting may comment on this but it is possible that the exact type may not be something BTF Lighting can easily control. The WS2811 IC is a 5 Volt device so any 12 Volt LED string that uses a WS2811 will have additional components to allow the IC to work correctly. One of the questions regarding the data line voltage (5 Volt) substantiates this. With that mentioned, I find no problems with the string. Although I have not yet ran the string long term, it illuminates well and I can control it without problems. Voltage drop and current (amperage) measurements are typical. The string does warm to the touch slightly and that is due to the 5 versus 12 Volt rating. I see no issues with daisy chaining strings if power injection, string lengths, and distance limits between strings are applied correctly. My last comment as mentioned previously is I would like to see BTF Lighting implement a quantity discount in the Amazon listing.

Changed since last purchase
Most recent purchase of 2ea 5v Black wires: Bright, accurate colors on all pixels. I've ordered many of these previously, from BTF, ALITOVE, and alarmpore, and two things about these are different from any others I've purchased. First, the water-proofing has been applied in a much cleaner fashion on these than any other set I've purchased before. This is a very good thing, no sharp points of hardened sealant sticking from the base of these. The second difference these have from all previous is the wiring is a bit thinner and much more flexible. The greater flexibility is appreciated, but I am a bit concerned about the thinner wire. The package label reads "Maximum Power: 15W" which I hope is an accurate rating for the wire as that matches what these LEDs would draw if all were at full power.Edit Oct. 29 2020: I've had time to fire the two newest strings up and put them through some non-scientific testing and the thinner wire seems capable of carrying the 1 to 2Amp max current I typically run these at with no heat buildup and no noticeable pinking at the end of the string.

Great for Christmas tree lighting
I ordered 3 sets of these lights. They worked great to decorate a 4 foot Christmas tree. I used an Adafruit Metro Mini with the Fastled library to control them. Setup was super easy (programming is required of you're using a microcontroller). I used a 5v 10amp power supply to power all 3 strands. But you can potentially use less if you use the power management settings available in Fastled.

Great for Halloween projects
My brother made me a Stranger Things Christmas lights wall with Arduino for Halloween, and these worked perfect.Update: has been out in the rain for a while, and still in good shape. Unlike the cheap power supply I connected to it (and replaced, and now it works great again yay! Best birthday present ever!!!)

Defective after 4 months
Purchased 7 of these and put them up as a permanent Christmas light display. Of the 7 strands I ordered, 4 have failed.

Poor manufacturing, low end components
Wanted some quick last minute additions to my decorations.I have been buying ws2811 strings from the better known and reputable far east suppliers. These are not them.Light gauge wires of minimal length.Glue spilled everywhere tacking the wires together and damaging the insulation when separated and straightened. Also had a failed pixel in the middle of the string.
