They are made from bamboo and bamboo grows like a weed and is hard to destroy, so it is definitely sustainable! I am sure they are not certified, though.

what are the exact dimensions (length, width and thickness) of these sticks?

They were 5 1/2 inch birch wood stirrers, 1/8 inch wide, and 1/16 inch thick. They were thin and broke easily. They would probably work if you had a small cup of beverage, but for mid size/larger cups the stirrers would be down low in the cup making it difficult to stir.
