My Favorite Travel Companion!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (4.5/5) rounded up to 5 ⭐ :) I've had the OontZ Angle Solo Bluetooth Portable Speaker by Cambridge Soundworks for three years now, and it's still performing as if it were brand new. Its compact size has made it my go-to travel companion, and I've been pleasantly surprised by its resilience. Whether it's packed snugly in my suitcase or tossed into my backpack, this speaker has proven its durability time and time again. I've accidentally dropped it on more than one occasion, and it's held up impressively without any noticeable decline in performance. In terms of functionality, it boasts a commendable wireless range, ensuring that I can move around freely without losing connection. The sound quality is clear, with a surprisingly loud volume output and rich bass for its size. Connecting it to my devices has always been a breeze, and the battery life is satisfactory, with easy charging options. All in all, the OontZ Angle Solo is a reliable and robust portable speaker that offers great value for its price. Whether you're traveling or just lounging at home, it's sure to enhance your audio experience. Highly recommended!

Exceeded my expectations
After reading reviews on the Oontz Angle Solo and several other competing speakers, based on reviews, I settled on the Oontz (BTW, I bought it on Amazon at a super sale price). I was looking to replace an early-model Bluetooth mini speaker from another manufacturer that I used for travel. That speaker was unreliable in its Bluetooth connection, the controls were wacky, the soft-touch finish had become sticky and, most importantly, it just didn’t sound good. After having traveled with the Oontz Angle Solo for 11 days, I’m ready to add my review to the others. For a speaker I intended to use for travel, this one ticked all my boxes: 1) The small size is perfect; 2) The case is rigid and sturdy enough that I’m not concerned it will get crushed or broken—very solid construction; 3) Bluetooth connection with my phone is consistent and reliable—turn it on and it connects right away and stays connected across the room; 4) The controls are straightforward and easy to understand; and 5) The sound is clear with good overall tone, reasonable bass for a speaker this size and it can play pretty loud. [I worked in the home audio industry for many years and I think I can most assuredly attest that this is a good and good-sounding product considering its price and size. I have other speakers for serious listening]. Plus it can be paired with another Oontz speaker for left-right stereo or dual speaker sound. I have not yet tried the speakerphone feature. For what I paid, it would be hard to beat the Angle Solo. I like it so much that when I saw the Oontz Angle 3 reduced on Amazon, I bought one. I intend to use it as the left speaker (control speaker) with the Angle Solo as the right at my desk. I’m thinking the extra bass from the larger Angle 3 will enhance the stereo sound. I’ll report on this in a review of the Angle 3.

I really like this little speaker. Great sound and range.
Works really well. The range is amazing. It is smaller then my previous two OONZ Angle speakers which quit working after a couple years , but are really worth the price, they are so good. The oldest one which is like 6 years old would still work if i could charge it, but the charging port is so wobbly I have to wiggle and wiggle so gave up on it.

Good little speakers
tl;dr: I'm happy with the sound and the build quality, as well as the ease of use. I'll keep them, assuming they don't auto-bork within the warranty period. _________ I've had these speakers for a couple of days (bought two to use either in dual or stereo setup). They are smaller than typical inexpensive square plastic computer speakers and weigh quite a bit more. They also sound better, unless your PC speakers cost more than $30 and include a sub-woofer. They are easy to connect via Bluetooth on both PC and Mac. I haven't tried them on Linux or a phone. The stereo connection function is easy as well. The included instruction booklet is clear and concise. I haven't tried the Dual function yet. I haven't tried them farther than 10 feet (approx. three meters) apart from the sound source or from each other. Things like walls and the transmitting power of the Bluetooth circuit in the audio device are going to have an impact on range and performance. The volume control is + or - 16 steps, and the little red power light on the control end of the speaker will blink once when you reach either 0% or 100%. TIP: Turn the speaker on and, before you connect it to an audio source or device, reduce the volume to 0% then press "+" eight times to take the volume to around 50%. You may also want to adjust the audio volume on your device to a lower level until you get a feel for the speaker. My guess is that there is quite a bit of audio processing and active EQ going on inside the speakers, and it favors and boosts bass frequencies. If you have EQ presets on your audio device, then hopefully there will be a few that roll-off or attenuate the bass. They'll have names like Spoken Word, Bass Reduce, Treble Boost, etc. For my purposes, these are "micro field" speakers that I'll use to listen to music or news while sitting at a laptop. I also tried them out as speakers for an audio device on a bookshelf. They work just fine for background music and podcasts, and fill the room. Obviously the won't move as much air as good quality bookshelf speakers but the sound is clear and pleasant. If I were going to crank up the volume I'd decrease the bass EQ on the music player first. The slightly raised control buttons are easy enough to memorize - a good thing given that they are the same matte black rubber as the rest of that end of the speaker. I suppose I would use little stickers or a white-on-black tape in label maker if I wasn't going to be handling them often. The speakers power off after a little while (haven't timed it yet) if there is no source audio, so using them to have a louder phone alarm in the morning probably work out.

Got it on prime day
Got a great sale on this, bought it for $26 I think? I haven't tested the waterproof claim yet but I believe it because it's constantly playing on a humid environment and hasn't shorted itself out. I wish the buttons were a little easier to see. Maybe if they were a different color or something. It fits in my palm, in my bag, on any surface and has an included wrist strap that feels well made and sturdy. Onto the moment you've all been waiting for.... Regarding the sound quality, it's a 9/10. For a little speaker like this, it's surprisingly loud. I bought this to block out my neighbours stomping and fighting and you know what? They can hear it too. This functions exactly as intended. Customer service also followed up on two occasions to make sure I was satisfied. For all of this, I think the price point is unbelievably low and I'm glad I took advantage of the sale. The only thing I'd say that could be changed is make some more colors please! They only had black and red when I bought mine but I'd love a metallic blue, glittery snow white or even a bedazzled version. I'd love some accessories to go with my speaker as well. I know there's a case but what if you could make something like how Crocs has the little rubber thingamabobs to accessorize your shoe? Or a little buddy that you can attach with a suction cup like a king frog, or a wizard turtle?

Found It, The Perfect Bluetooth Speaker for Everything!
I've had several small speakers for my Kindle, laptop and phone. This by far is the best one I have ever had! It charges quickly, is light and easy to handle, , no cord or headphone jack neededconnects to bluetooth seamlessly with a great reach AND has great sound. There is no static, no crackling, the tones and sound is great for such a small speaker regardless of listening to music or an audio book. I had turned to my earbudsd when outside because of the difficulties I was having with my speakers, cords and sound. Earbuds are great except when they keep falling out into the flower bed you're weeding. I bought the red so I always knew where I set it down. I love the cover on the charging area as it protects the plug from dust and bugs when outside. I haven't gotten it wet but I'm pretty sure the design is perfect if there is an unexpected storm or my mister catches it. I can have my music softly playing outside now when enjoying my backyard and louder when cleaning house or doing dishes and truly enjoy it. It was perfect when listening while grooming my furbaby. The battery seems to have a long life, so far it hasn't gone dead one time. I plan on buying another one, different color inside, and maybe even some as Christmas gifts. The price is perfect for that.

A very impressive speaker for the price
I picked this speaker up because I wanted something inexpensive and relatively durable I could use to listen to music and podcasts in the shower. My previous shower speaker (one of the round ones with the suction cup on the bottom) put out barely enough volume to be audible over running water. This speaker however, despite its small size, is easily loud enough to be heard clearly even at half volume. At near full volume it is easily capable of being heard from at least the next room over, and delivers a fairly full bass sound and clear high range as well. My only criticism is that at maximum volume I did notice some distortion, however it is not at all necessary to set the volume this high if you are in remotely close proximity to it. I was so impressed with the device that I elected to use it more generally around the house in place of a smart speaker. On a single charge I was able to listen to use it for more than 8 hours, at a louder volume that the speaker in my iPhone is capable of outputting (which was roughly 30-35% of the maximum volume of the Oontz), and the battery was only depleted by 50%. All this for only $20. I can't recommend it enough.
