The Bilingual Holy Bible, English - Italian is derived from the 1901 English American Standard and 1927 Italian Riveduta Bible translations. Printed on white paper for easy reading, verses are paired in classical Biblical English and Italian so both translations can be followed sentence by sentence. Examples: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesi 1:1 Nel principio Iddio creò i cieli e la terra. Psalms 23:4 Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Salmi 23:4 Quand'anche camminassi nella valle dell'ombra della morte, io non temerei male alcuno, perché tu sei meco; il tuo bastone e la tua verga son quelli che mi consolano. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. Love this English/Italian Bible
This bible is great! I love reading the bible and I've been learning Italian for a few years and this now adds a great deal to my studying. They also provide speedy service on responding to questions. I sent them an email and received a response within 24 hours. I was very impressed, as it's rare to find really good customer service these days.

It's Huge!
This is a great Bible. However, it is not convenient to take to any place due to its size. If you are planning to keep it home, excellent choice. However, if this is to take to school or church, forget it.

Excellent tool for students of Italian! Presentation of the text is very convenient, it is easy to navigate in the text. Real pleasure to work with this bilingual text.

Not something you can take around with you easily. I really like it though as it is ...
I bought this to help me with my Italian and to read with my Italian boyfriend. It is a HUGE and heavy book. The same size as some coffee table books I have. So, It's a statement piece. Not something you can take around with you easily. I really like it though as it is nice looking in my home.

Beautiful Italian-English Bible
I bought this for my husband. He had graciously given his copy away to a friend. He was so happy to receive a new copy! This is a beautiful hard cover Italian-English Bible. Excellent service on delivery and came bubble wrapped. Thank you!

Great book!
I enjoy the encyclopedic formatting which allows for now in the margins as well as following each language verse by verse.

A massive tome with 8 point text, but useful
This book is indeed massive: 11 3/8" x 8 3/4" x 2 1/2". Each page is laid out with the English column on the left and the Italian column on the right. The typeface used is 8 point therefore somewhat smaller than the 9 point used in many traditional Bibles. The English text is 1901 American Standard, while the Italian is 1927 Italiana Riveduta. I consider this book to be quite useful. The English text is sufficiently close in meaning to the Italian text to help the English-speaking reading to learn to read its Italian counterpart.

For a new learner in Italian use of a dual document is really useful. Already recommended it to a friend who loves it too.

Making it work ...
Some days I find it surprisingly difficult to access, while on others it opens up well enough. I don't know enough Italian to comment on the translations themselves.
