Pros: Good quality, hefty, does the truck to secure my garden shed. Easy to set the 4 digit combination just follow the directions.Cons: the rubber flip down flap that protects the number dials falls off easily. Dials only rotate one direction. These 2 things dont bother me or the application fir my lock but others might be annoyed.Would buy again

Bought as like new or used: very good, but the plastic bumper ring around it was broken, more cosmetic than functional, I believe it was going to break eventually anyway. If that's a concern, just rap some rubber bands around it. The lock is very sturdy and the rubber flap that covers the combination underneath appears to be sturdy enough, moreso than the plastic bumper ring. Works well, smooth operation, very sturdy, and the combination was easy to reset to one of my liking. I think I'll hose it down with spray lube to prevent deterioration once or twice a year. Could have chosen a cheaper knock off that would have worked well, the technology is not rocket science. I'm happy with the Master lock, I believe it's probably more refined than a cheaper alternative and some needed a tool to reset the combination which was about as desired as having to keep track of a key (not a desirable feature for me, partially defeats the purpose of this kind of lock: simple security if not top flight). The construction is top flight but a four digit combination, by nature is not, but I opted for simplicity. The construction, materials and sturdiness are excellent and maybe over the top for this kind of lock, but it's what I wanted. Looks very secure and in security: perception is reality 90%+ of the time.

Good lock. Some lowlife tried cutting it to steal our mini bike. Couldn’t make it through and walked off. It’s possible (likely) that was just a weakling but either way the lock held strong.

There are two issues with this lock. The main one is that the weather flap stops working over time, and just hangs down. It has not seemed to affect the lock, in any way, though. The second issue is that the dials can only turn one way, and it is just a little bit annoying.Overall, this seems like a great lock, and looks like it would be annoying to try to break. Looks are important when it comes to security. If someone really wants in, it is going to happen, but for an opportunistic thief, this lock would probably do a great job of dissuading them.

The item was great, but I just tried to use it and I lost the combination. Can I get some help?

Purchased another master lock where the Tumbler was open to the weather and it locked up over winter requiring hammer to grt it off, this is 10x the quality of that lock, the cover looks great and more important is the strength of the lock. Use anywhere you need outdoor protection!

I was thinking this lock was really expensive, but once it got delivered I couldn't believe the heft of it - this thing is a beast. It's big and heavy. I'm not sure you could even break into it with bolt cutters. It's overkill for my purposes since I'm securing a shed with MAYBE $300 worth of stuff in it, but I'm okay with overkill! It's worth the cost - I don't have to worry about it breaking or freezing shut in the winter, it's big enough that I won't lose it, etc. Easy to use (use the instructions that come in the packaging), would def buy again.

I have had the same lock as this one for 9 years and it's always been greatRecently it failed and I ordered the exact same one and what I received was an empty bag sealed shut with my label address on itAmazon took care of me but the point that I didn't like is that they contacted the company within this interaction and the company said that they knew that they packed it and I found that to be irritating at the very least like they remember packing my specific orderAnnoying as that was I ordered another lock Amazon gave me no problem it arrived the next morning when I took it apart or tried to take it apart the combination that they send with it that was sealed inside the package didn't workNow I'm pissed because I have a lock that doesn't work and a shed that's not locked I think from now on I'm going to buy something else from a physical store because items like this you want to work to secure your itemsAs far as the lock goes it's extremely sturdy the size is decent the weight is Hefty in your hand I like the lock that's why I tried ordering it both times it's the company that I have a problem with or whoever runs the Amazon storeMoving forward I will purposely choose a different company when I buy my lock which maybe they don't care if I'm buying one lock every 8 years but when everyone stops that might matter.

Study lock! It's quite chunky and feels like it's going to take some effort to cut through, so it gives a positive feeling as a reliable lock. The combination was easy to change, and therefore so far so good!
