I'm glad I didn't review this when I first got it ...
I'm glad I didn't review this when I first got it as I probably would have given it a more negative review. I thought it would be the perfect My Lips But Better shade (all the pictures of other women wearing it suggested as much) but it's darker and more cool-toned than I wanted. More of a 'raisin' and I was looking for that 'dusty rose' shade. I wanted more pink/peach tones and less brown. I barely wore this at first--and then winter hit. My lips chap easily, which makes me bite them, which makes them chap more. Since my lips are also very pale, I end up frustrated looking for the lipstick that can give my lips some color without highlighting every little flake. Up until now, the only option was Almay Liquid Lip Balm in Apricot Pucker--a distinctly orange-coral shade that really doesn't work with 80% of what I wear in winter. I grabbed this in a rush out the door, and only later found that one) it's remarkably soothing to chapped lips, two) the color is actually pretty flattering if not my ideal shade and three) it practically melts onto my lips once I rub them together, hiding every flake. And while it easily wears off (drinking, eating, talking, you name it) it DOES actually stain my lips. Very handy for when I want to switch back to just plain lip balm without loosing the color. I am steadily wearing this down, and will repurchase when I finally run out. I've been converted.

Holy grail MLBB!
If I could only keep one lip product from my entire collection, this balm stain in Honey would be it! I have products from drugstore to high end so that's saying something. This is a perfect neutral pink-mauvey color. I have light-medium skin with yellow undertones (NC25) and this is a perfect MLBB (my lips but better) shade on me. It is moisturizing and feels light on the lips. There is a mild minty scent and flavor to it. I never have issues even if my lips are dry, it glides on and looks great. It can cover pretty well (zero patchiness) but is not as opaque as say a matte lipstick. As for the staining, with this particlar color the stain left behind is a slightly darker pink and not as long lasting as the more vivid colors in this line. I recommend allowing an hour or so after application for the stain to "settle" and last longer. I typically get about 4-6 hours wear before reapplying and when it does wear away it does so evenly. The chubby stick packaging makes it super easy to just apply on the go. I will always go back to this product and repurchase it. Never let this one go Revlon!

Not exactly a "stain", still my new choice for lip-color, check colors before buying suggested
I've bought six of these Revlon Balm Stains. I have been looking for good liquid stain that doesn't peel or get dry. But I haven't found a good one in a couple of years now. I thought I'd give these a go. I wouldn't exactly call them a stain. However, they do last a LOT longer than the Matte Balm that Revlon makes (looks incredibly similar and has some of the same colors but the Matte balm won't last an hour with normal sipping on water). Since they are not what anyone would consider a stain, I'd like to give them 3 stars; but, I'm adding a star since I have developed a favorite color and think I can live with these as my new lip-color. They go on smooth and you can feel the light peppermint oil tingle your lips. They haven't dried out my lips. They need 2-3 applications per working day, but will last through a bit of normal drinking water and chewing gum. They won't last a make-out session or eating. Also, unless you like hot pink 1980's style lips, do not get the Sweetheart/Valentine color! It's so bright! My favorite color is Adore. I thought I'd like Honey the best...but not so. Here's the colors I have purchased and my thoughts. I've also included a picture. I am fair/pink skinned (I wear fairly light bare minerals foundation during winter and fairly medium bare minerals foundation during summer) with dark brown hair and honey-brown eyes for reference. Honey: an almost neutral color but has purple-pink undertones. reminds me of a dusty rose or pink-heather color. Adore: some gold and brown undertones. not near as dark as suggested by some pictures. a very nice color for my fair skin and dark hair combo. appropriate for everyday, including work. Charm: rather light with lots of peach undertones. good for a "nude" look on my skin. works nice when blended in with another color (I liked it with romantic mixed in most) Rendezvous: looks like an orange crayon but wears like a dark coral. surprisingly nice, but can be a bit much. Romantic: balanced red - not too purple nor too brown. fades to a very nice pink from red. good for date nights. Sweetheart: bright 1980's pink. everyone will notice these lips. my least favorite color despite many compliments from men in my age group (mid 30's). incredibly misleading company pictures about this color.

I have used these two products for years. Both do well until all is used. I recommend both

Romantic was the first color I purchased and remains my favorite. It leaves a good stain and doesn't need ...
I have this balm stain in Romantic, Crush, and Honey. Romantic was the first color I purchased and remains my favorite. It leaves a good stain and doesn't need constant reapplication, but the best part is that it's easy to apply because the color is pretty sheer, so I can easily refresh my makeup at my desk without a mirror while I'm at work. It really does feel like a balm and leaves my lips feeling moisturized. There's a slight gloss to the color--I don't like the look of matte lips--but it isn't super-shiny either. This is the first lip color I have found that I like to apply and don't feel awkward/self-conscious wearing. I've become a Lipstick Wearer! I am very fair/pale with ash brown hair and blue eyes. Romantic is a bright berry red on me and is the color I like best. I was thrilled that there weren't any orange undertones. I get compliments when I wear it. Crush is darker and more purple, and Honey is a light mauve. I feel like the three colors I purchased would be universally flattering because they are sheer, so they would compliment any skin tone, but your results might vary. I would like to get all colors but I think Romantic will still be my fave. :)

On the Fence...
I'm on the fence on if I'd purchase this again. For reference, I'm quite pale with warm undertones and medium pigmented lips. Let me start by saying that the color Honey is a perfect mid-toned mauvey pink. It leans a teeny bit to the coral side once I've applied it. It is a beautiful color that looks natural and I find that it would be very versatile with just about any makeup look and any skin tone. The packaging is nice- I like that it twists up rather than having to sharpen it. The chubby pencil look is adorable as well :) Here's Revlon's claim to fame for this product: "It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon. Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour." Pampering? Eh, maybe. It has a delicious mint feeling that feels nice on the lips when first applied but instantly disappears. Softer, smoother lips? No. I exfoliated before applying this product and I felt like I had to press hard to get color to show up and then it felt a little like...moist chalk. It settled into the very few lines I have on my lips and made them look dry. Applying a balm or chapstick before this is necessary if you want your lips to look smooth and soft. Lasts hour after hour? I can say, with confidence, that this does last quite a while. I've worn it to work several times and I can always detect a faint flush of this when I get home 9 hours after first applying it. For around $9 at my local grocery store, this is quite steep when the claims Revlon makes aren't exactly accurate, at least not in my case. I love the color and the packaging is adorable but I'm sure that there are other products that are more moisturizing at a better price.

Pleasantly surprised!
I'm not sure why it's called a "balm" -- I thought it was more like a highly-pigmented crayon that tingles a little when you first apply it to your lips. I waited a few hours, eating and drinking, to see how long it lasted. After 5 hours most of the color was gone but not entirely. That wasn't a problem for me since I wasn't considering this a serious, long-lasting lipstick for special occasions or anything like that. What was very nice, though, is that the "balm" sort of faded away and did NOT flake up at all and did NOT dry my lips. I was impressed! The color is a bit brighter than I had anticipated but I realize it varies from person to person depending on the ph of your lips. Going to order another one in the "honey" shade. Update: Just received the "honey" shade and I love it. It is very similar to my natural lip color, which makes it perfect for an everyday no-make-up look. Still amazed at how it never flakes or dries up. Great product!

Favorite Lip Balm
Revlon Colorburst Lip Balms are a combination between a lightweight lip stain and balm. Color lasts for hours, and lips feel moisturized in an instant. Balm is retractable, no sharpener required! They are my go to lip products. Can be applied in a jiffy and leaves my lips moisturized and looking fabulous! Glides on easily and the colors are buildable. The color "045 Romantic" is my Everyday Lip Product, cause I need something to last with great color. If you like lip stains that aren’t painted on your lips then you will love this! I have fair, sensitive skin and this lip color does not bleed or feather. I own 7 Revlon Colorburst Lip Balms (045 Romantic, 065 Irresistible, 015 Cherish, 220 Showy, 030 Smitten, 005 Crush, 035 Charm) but 045 Romantic is the only one I have repurchased 3 times this year, we're in October! Highly Recommend

Good colour
I have this balm stain in Honey, Romantic, and Adore. Romantic was too orangey/bright for me. Honey and Adore are both good, but I like the redder tint of Adore (pretty good example of "my lips but better"). Honey is a little too mauvey to look as natural as I prefer. Obviously this will vary depending on skin tone and colour!

Moisturizing Lip color :)
This is a great color for everyday It’s like a mauve pink, that’s more on the neutral side, it’s hydrating and also leaves a slight stain as it wears off, mine also arrived sealed which made me very happy, although I received my package a bit late, the seller is very kind & responded quickly & professionally :)

Very pink, builds up stain
I'm surprised everyone is saying it's red, on me it's a very bright pink with no red tones at all - which isn't what I expected but I don't hate. The stain is pretty good compared to others I've tried, I like to wear lip balms and this holds up underneath
