Good ol' stand by, been around forever.
I remember Tap Magic from 35 years ago when I was working my way through college. Since then my life moved away from machining and the like. However, I've been getting back into metal working as a hobby. Cutting fluid is important for keeping your tools sharp, I'm using it on my band saw blades and it works well. If I were to be reborn as a cutting fluid, I would want to be Tap Magic. I'm not sure who would rate the scent though, it's not like I'm going to use it as cologne. But I rated it anyway, it brings back memories of being a poor college student and living off of a single pizza for three days. Back when you had dreams of your bright future, so I guess that makes it a nice scent.

If you tap, buy this
How did I use taps and dies as long as I did without using this stuff? It makes tapping much faster and smoother. I even use it while boring metal with a lathe occasionally and it doesn't disappoint there either. It smells like dirty feet and fish that have been blended together and then puked on by someone who just ate a pound of a particularly pungent cheese, but I don't really care. It also seems to last forever. I have been using it basically every day for the past 3 months and it is still 95% full. Much like everyone else has said, you will feel like an idiot for not using it your whole life after you try it. You will never want to tap without it again. Just don't expect it to smell like a spring day unless the spring day you are thinking about takes place in a fish market that doubles as a sewer.

It is good but
A good product doing what it is supposed to do, but it is weird that the bottle got not led or cover, just the cone and when open it stays open

Will increase the longevity of your tools significantly!!!
This is a must have for anyone that is going to drill any metal, tap it, or cut it. This is by far the best. If u want your bits or blades to last for a long time this is the stuff. I put it on my sawzaw blades and it works amazing

Could not fine anything better
I'M a retired certified machinist / Mechanical engineer. I have use this product in tools and dies, aircraft, and missiles. I have found nothing better for the job of tapping and drilling. I have even used it in final milling and counter sinking. When I went into the medical field (building medical machines) It made clean up of stainless material a snap. It also worked Great on very small threads 0-90 and single pointing of very fine metric threads

...consistent results...
There's always something better around the bend but I've kept a bottle of Magic Tap at every tool station for about 40 years...it works!
