My favorite level of tech
YOU can call it a cane. I call it my stick. It's nice. Well balanced, lightweight. Can be used to assist walking, but also for poking, whacking, raking stuff from high or low shelves, brandishing, and pointing out things in the distance. There is none better as an accessory when doing a Charlie Chaplin impression (it's the wrist flick that makes it). Seriously. I have a bunch of sticks. The Fritz style grip is my fave. I simply can't use a crook (crozier? You know what I mean) type handle, as it puts all of one's weight on an area of about 2 square inches. Very no. If you need padding, hie thyself to ye olde hardware store, and get some closed foam pipe insulation and some duct tape. You're welcome. Now take some of that duct tape and wrap it around the shaft of your stick. Use your stick as the spindle of your emergency stash of duct tape. Do Eeeet!I don't use armaflex pipe insulation, but for a non-slip hand grip I wrap the handle with paracord. You may know it as 550 line, or 'that nylon clothesline kinda stuff'.This is all 'stick tech'. Nary a day goes by when I don't need some duct tape or some paracord, and there they are! This really is a nice cane, I mean stick. Buy 2. Set one up as described, and keep another for use with dress shoes. Ladies with the accesorised version are allowed to apply for 'Man Cards', which will be approved automatically, especially if the guy at the counter is given a sharp poke around the zyphoid process. (That odd thing at the bottom of the sternum, just above the solar plexus.)

For the sharp dressed man .
I have owned mine for a year+ , lost one bought another of same . A strong but light cane with a black semi-gloss finish that looks sharp . Economical and when the paint finish is chipped I use Revlon 731 Knockout ( black enamel nail polish ) to cover the the nicks and scratches ( which usually only happens when dropped on concrete ) keeping it sharp looking . The handle is a classic , time tested design that is as comfortable as advertised . will accept the rubber 3 or 4 footed tips that help to keep the cane upright when on level ground and adds to the security you feel when walking . The finish on mine has not rubbed off on my hands nor has it melted as some that are varnished may do . I bought a replacement cane October 2018 , I misplaced the old one, the new cane is the same except this cane is a flat black where as the other cane was a semi-gloss. I liked the looks of the semi gloss better. the cane seems to be of the same quality and light comfort.

Nice cane
Bought this to use at a wedding. As a groomsman wearing a black tux my cheap drug store cane just wouldn’t look good. This cane is sturdy and the finish is nice. The paint does chip easily but I just dabbed the spots with a marker. If the paint didn’t chip so easily I would give it 5 stars.

Style AND function... Love this cane!
Traded in my medical, aluminum cane for this beauty after hip replacement surgery. I'm walking in style now! The finish is flawless and I actually feel more secure with THIS cane. The grip is natural and comfortable. Great value for the price!

Bad paint that flakes off, otherwise sturdy and comfortable grip
This would be a great cane except that the paint began chipping off immediately. If you even lightly bump the cane against a wall, or accidentally drop it on floor or sidewalk, the paint comes off. Extremely thin coat of brittle paint. Too bad, as it is attractive, sturdy, and very comfortable on the hand grip. The substandard paint they use is the only downside. Unless you don’t mind a cane that is all scratched up looking, or else you are willing to repaint it, I would not buy this cane. Hope they fix the problem as otherwise would be great.

So much more stable than the foldable ones
My husband 220 lbs lost his balance with the foldable cane. It was a good cane, not a cheap one. It bent at one of the joints and he went down. If you are using a cane for a little balance the foldable one is convenient, but if you are tall ( most are too short) get a solid cane. This is perfect. Unobtrusive, perfect for a man, and most importantly tall enough and sturdy

Bought this for my Dad ... 10 years ago. He loved it.
When my dad needed a cane, I bought him a half dozen: expensive, cheap or adjustable. This was his favorite. He said, It didn't make him look like he was crippled. I agree. I liked it too and the way he looked. It made dad look cool. Now that dad is gone and I need a support cane, I'm glad this vendor is still offering it. My order is in.
